This place is OK, but certainly nothing to write home about. The music is typical 'wedding reception music', a mix of modern and old cheesy classics except for the club at the top which actually plays some half decent dance tunes. There isn't really much atmosphere, it seems to attract either tourists or people who want to go out in London but aren't really sure where to go - there doesn't seem to be a feeling of any regulars or affectionados. To be blunt, it is a cattle market and any half decent looking girl can excpect attention from some rather dubious and slightly odd guys who don't really have much idea about how to approach girls. The lack of air con made this club very uncomfortable, but I'd say what really goes against it, is its size. More time seems to be spent wandering up and downstairs to the different bars rather than really settling anywhere. It wasn't a bad night per se, I had a laugh with the group I was with, took the strange men with a pinch of salt, however I don't think I'd be induced to go back. I'd have liked to have given this a 2.5 rather than a 3 because there wasn't really anything wrong with the place as such, staff were friendly, we didn't have any problems or anything to complain about, it's just nothing remarkable.
If there was a choice for zero stars i would put this.this place is one of the worst places i have been to in my life. I think the bouncers pick on innocent people to make themselves feel big.I had booked a 25th birthday for my boyfriend and the attitude and arrogance of the bouncers and manager in the pink shirt spoilt the whole evening.i will never set foot in this place again.i know everyone has different experiences, but when it comes down to attitudes of staff- this will never change!!!Do not chance your night being spoiltDo not go here!!!Spread the word!!
Went to on anon for my 18th and it was a total DISASTER! Full of old men, and the few young ones in the crowd did eventually run for cover elsewhere. Lost my reservation for my table (well, my fault really) and the drinks are pretty expensive.
I went to On Anon with 11 friends. It was proper packed.. Full of sweaty men. I agree with the other comment...If you're on the pull and not fussy, it's perfect. Won't be rushing back there.
I visited Onanon for the first time last night, for a quiet drink with a friend. I was impressed by the decor and range of bars to choose from. However, I found one particular member of the bar staff (or perhaps she was the bar manager) to be abrupt and rude, and we received a fierce telling off for sitting in the 'wrong bar' which was apparently closed. (The reason we moved seats is because the bar we were in was rowdy due to a birthday party), but she didn't seem to appreciate this. If she is that stressed out on a quiet Monday evening at 7pm, I dread to think what she is like on a busy Friday night when there are more than 5 people there! While Onanon is a great venue, I think the behaviour of its staff really lets it down. They could benefit from some training in being more customer focused. I will not be visiting this bar again.
music is danceable, clientele friendly and unpretentious, staff helpful, security always good.
I went to Onanon on a Friday and had a blast. It was busy but with all the bars it was easy to get served, especially the Mojitos was worth visiting all of the different bars for;)
We tried to find a large area enough for 20 people, and even though it was so busy the fantastic host girls put us in a great area. I'll definately book before I come next time though to make things even easier and more enjoyable!
We read that An Anon was the place to go on a Monday night. We sat in a bar opposite around 12pm waiting for it to open. There was a bouncer outside but no one showed up. When we went over at 1am it was locked. So much for the "Monday Nights Place to Be"
