I have tried the restaurant and the brasserie and funnily I would say the brasserie is a lot better.
Both offer excellent service and great food but the atmosphere in the brasserie is more friendly. The view is amazing from both parts of the oxo tower. I definitely recommend this place and I am looking forward to going back there.

Visited the Brasserie with my wife recently. Food was very good (tasty, hot, and fitted the description on the menu!), as was the friendly and efficient service. Tables are small, close together, ambiance noisy and when busy would certainly not suit those who prefer quiet dining. There was also the condition of a 2 hour dining slot which suited my wife and I this occasion as we had to pick up our children promptly from a London theatre, nearby.
However, my wife also went there recently for a lunch with a group of friends and on arrival were told they had a 2 hour lunch slot and would need to leave promptly! Apparently, this condition was not advised to the person who booked the lunch. Some of the party arrived late and despite the restaurant having plenty of free tables, they were all forced to leave at the appointed time. Frankly, I think their treatment was appalling and mean...for this reason, I would only give the place, 3/5 stars and warn anybody who books to ensure they understand and are comfortable with the conditions laid down by the management! Not sure I would go back out of principle unless my wife (who still loves the place!) twists my arm.

We went to the Oxo Tower restaurant for the first time last night and had a fantastic time.

The service was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were so attentive and unpretentious.

The ambiance was great and the views of London and the embankment were amazing

Although the menu could have been a little more extensive, the food we chose was sublime and certainly did not disappoint. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent service, absolutely top class. They explained the meals to us in a very thorough but non-patronising way which seemed more educational then snooty. They were also very efficient although the wait for the desert could have been quicker.

The ambience was very impressive nice view of London, really good buzz and the blue light ceiling was beautiful.

The white bottle of Australian Sauvignon Blanc that we had was also extremely impressive.

My only complaint was that my Quail starter was not boneless so it got really fiddly. However my fiancée Crab started was apparently very tasty!

Well recommended.

Went here on bank holiday Monday with family for nice meal and it really is brilliant. The venue is just fantastic, with views across London that even put a smile on a Londoners face. The food was brilliant to and I thought reasonably priced - expected it to be more from our settings. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is basically nothing I can fault - I highly recommend it!

Great venue in London with views of Tower Bridge. Still feel that Altitude 360 has better views as you can see more of London.

Food at Oxo really delicious though!

Went to the Brasserie for my 4th anniversary with my Boyfriend, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Situated nice and high so views are stunning and showed London from a more birds eye view. Truly breath taking.

Was made to feel very special and welcome by staff at front desk and was taken to our seats (although I do feel like the space in not great especially if its a romantic meal you don't want people over hearing your conversation; if this was different it would of got a full 5 stars)

Table nicely set out clean and comfortable.

Service was great very attentive and kept and eye on everything.

Food was a bit crazy (by that very Avant Gard) however very delicious, nicely presented and was scrummy.

Drinks reasonable for a place like this and a wide selection to choose from, had a delicious Pinot Noir and sparkling water followed by Cocktails in the bar very relaxed and chilled in there.

Great job thanks for a lovely evening you made our night.

Enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience at the Oxo tower. Service was impeccable throughout although some of the non-English staff were a little difficult to understand sometimes. Food was excellent although pricey as you would expect due to view and location. Only moan was that the lighting on the tables was inadequate and we could not see the menus let alone what we were eating. More candles please!

Had lunch at the Oxo Tower Brasserie yesterday, only booked the day before, and had a perfect meal. The staff were polite and efficient, the food was excellent and delivered quickly and the atmosphere was buzzy. Definitely recommended!

Wonderful service - no hassle.
Lunch was a reasonable price. The food was put together beautifully, lovely flavours. There was lots of fish on the menu.
Obviously cool views across the river.

The OXO Tower (8th floor), was a lovely venue for a meal. However, we sat outside & the sun was beating down on my face & I could hardly open my eyes to see my partner, & more importantly what was on my plate. They had no parasols etc to stop the sun glare, which was a pain, & as the meal was a b'day for my partner, I didn't want to make a fuss, (not this time anyway!)

The service could have been quicker, & the tables were very close together, the menu wasn't varied enough, as I don't eat seafood, red meat, or game, so my starter was raw tuna, which was ok, but my only choice. My final moan is over the service charge (12.5%) which I think is pretty cheeky, the customer should decide whether to leave a tip, especially if the meal already comes to over £100. These places should realise that not every diner has money to burn, and often it's a one off b'day treat, as was ours - Moan over!

I just wanted to say that by law you don't actually have to leave a tip and it's a bit cheeky to say the least that they don't mention that on the bill. It is "discretionary" whether they say so or not! So in future feel free to leave them whatever you feel is appropriate! :)

The Oxo Tower's food was tasty and the view at night over the Thames is amazing, but the overall atmosphere of the place, is of a pretentious '80s yuppie wine bar.

Too many hooray-henrys for my liking. And the place is too big to have any standard of personal service - our table was something like no. 465!

I went to the Oxo Tower with my wife and were very pleased with the level of service on offer - the day we went they had lost their gas supply so had to change the menu to suit - and suit it did! The Oxo Tower is definitely worth heading to.

The Oxo Tower had promised us a window seat. We managed to turn up 45 minutes late. We lost our window seat but they had kept us a table. The restaurant was packed but the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. Definitely worth a visit to Oxo Tower.

Oxo Tower Bar was packed with people including senior citizens and children, so it was a bit uncool from that point of view. It looks good but it was packed and the tables are very close together. Oxo Tower Bar is great if you reserve a table near the back end so you don't have loads of people spoiling the view.

In the summer you can go outside on the balcony and that will be great. It isn't very cosy for couples because it is so packed and noisy.

Had a great experience at the OXO Tower Restarant with good food but a touch expensive for the portion size. Fantastic views though and the bar was a nice end to a great evening, ideal for relaxing with friends. I would definitely visit the OXO Tower Restaurant again.

I've just had my Christmas lunch at Oxo Tower Restaurant and couldn't fault it. Even though it was packed, the staff were really nice and helpful, the food excellent and the view amazing.

I'll definitely be going back to Oxo Tower Restaurant! If you like good food and a great buzz try it.

The Oxo Tower Restaurant is a great venue for a special occasion, the view is fantastic and the bar area is great. However, I ate at the Brasserie and the tables are so close together that everybody around you has to stand up when you need to get in and out of your seat. The tables are tiny so there is hardly any room for side orders and bottles, there is poor service and the food is ok but pretty average. I hope the Oxo Tower Restaurant is better.

I really enjoyed the food at Oxo Tower, although a tad expensive, staff were really friendly & efficient, the atmosphere was relaxing and subtle. It seemed a bit more exclusive, especially as the diners at the next table were Duncan James & friend, as well as an A* celebrity at the bar.
If you're looking for good food and somewhere away from a rush of tourists and pleasant surroundings then the Oxo Tower is the place for you!

What a great place the brasserie at the Oxo Tower Restaurant is. There's a real buzz in the bar beforehand and they have great cocktails followed by great food. Oxo Tower Restaurant also has excellent service, attentive staff and a fantastic view of London.

A wonderful birthday evening with my wonderful lady! Thanks.

My boyfriend took me to the Oxo Tower Restaurant for the first time on my birthday last October and I have been badgering him ever since to do it again. It was a fantastic experience. I can strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something out of the ordinary, the Oxo Tower Restaurant is definitely somewhere that everyone should try at least once.

We started the evening with a few delicious cocktails which soon had us both relaxed. Fresh vegetables were used in really creative ways as starters and my boyfriend’s entrée was so exquisite that it brought tears to my eyes (I wouldn’t say it was a large portion but it was beautifully presented and in a really novel way).

I can’t wait to go to Oxo Tower Restaurant again and my boyfriend is behind me all the way. In fact he says he would go there again just for the fantastic view!

You really go to the Oxo Tower Bar to enjoy the atmosphere and great views. It's on the 8th floor and overlooks the Thames. Of course you do pay the price for all this as the drinks are pricey.
The Oxo Tower does awesome cocktails.

I went to The Oxo Tower Restaurant yesterday night and I must admit that I had the most wonderful time! Although the decor is very plain and leaves you rather uninterested, the view is really magnificent (especially if you have a table in front of the window).

As far as the meal is concerned now, I've never tasted so fine and yet delicious plates. For starters I had the warm lobster salad which was great, and for main course I had the most delicious, mouth-melting pork I've ever eaten in my life. The mashed potatoes with which I accompanied my meal were so soft and creamy....simply delicious! Last but definitely not least, for dessert I tasted the profiterole, the prune and armagnac souffle with cinnamon ice cream, as well as the chocolate plate with a variety of 5 different choc desserts. I have no words to describe the taste which I still have in my mouth! All three were very light and at the same time very tasty.

At this point I shouldn't forget to mention that the presentation of each dish far exceeded my expectations, and the service was very quick...Although surrounded by a bunch of waiters, you couldn't even detect their presence!

I'm afraid I wasn't that impressed with the Oxo Tower Brasserie which is an awful shame.

We dined in the Brasserie (hopefully things are different in the restaurant), at tables that were so packed together that even moving around normally became difficult - both my partner and I are fairly tall and every time I tried to sit comfortably the waiter tripped over my foot!

The food on the main menu had a distinct fish bias, with, in the main, Chinese style accompaniments so we selected from the very reasonably priced set menu.

Both starters and mains were excellent and we were both looking forward to dessert when a different menu from the one we'd ordered from was presented. So we didn't have desert.

The Oxo Tower pour your wine for you, and sadly the service is frankly not good enough, several times our glasses were empty and it's my suspicion that the reason for this 'service' is general lack of space: the tables aren't big enough to accomodate the wine bottle and there isn't room for a free-standing ice bucket either!

As I also prefer to pay a tip in cash where I can, I was questioned for my reasons when I asked for the 'disretionary' 12.5% to be removed from the bill.

Not enough to ruin the evening just all a bit disappointing.
