Not been to pause for lunch for about a year and I was very impress to see how lovely the venue looked. Happy looking staff and efficient, the food was delicious and the chef was friendly. Sorry pause, I don't like giving 5 stars but my attendance will be.

everything is cheap like for city venue

Have not been to Pause for a while since having my wedding party last year so thought it was time to take a visit as im back in London.

Oh my god what has happened to the place? no atmosphere staff keep changing the ones they have now look miserable like they don't want to be there.

what's happened to the old manager she used to be so welcoming and helpful, always in the ladies making sure it was clean always smiling place is not the same without her

me and myself popped in to pause last night for couple of drinks and we were well impressed! DJ and saxophonist on Wednesday night!

we had our after wedding party at pause and must say it was perfect!all my friends and family were impressed !food tasted beautiful, and service so professional! to be honest i wasn't too sure about this bar for our big day, but my wife really wanted to book that place! Well women is ALWAYS right! Thank you guys for making this day even better for us

We made our engagement party reservation here a few weeks in advance only to arrive and be told that they had a private function and forgot to cancel our booking. Great service guys :)

Nice basement bar, had lunch with a work colleague that invited me The food is so cheap and quality so good, we went for a sandwich platter and bucket of 5 beers for £10 so goodDefinitely a hidden gem and the staff were so cool cant believe i walk pass this place every day and never noticed it.

What a place, walking past during the morning saw the lunch a-board and thought id try...

Me and work mates had one of the best lunches there and i loved their lunch specials which the waitress tells us changes every week. Had the lamb last week and had to give compliments to the chef.

Then we decided to check the place out on a Friday evening, was not rammed but busy

Me and the boys had 5 beers for £10 and got the girls 2 4 1 cocktails so we took advantage of happy hr, decided to stay as we were having a good time.

One last thing forgot my glasses there so Pause if anyone's found them belongs to me be in real soon :)

Use to be an old regular and went back recently, love the new Pause and the staff were so welcoming and oh my god lunch specials starting at £5.50 what a bargain.
Pause has to be the best place to have lunch around Aldgate and the atmosphere was perfect.

I had my birthday celebrations here a while back on a Saturday night at Pause Bar,I've always had fun times here especially on Thursday & Fridays and have enjoyed lunch here too so I knew I'd be in for a good night.

I had planned to have a themed Birthday but decided last minute not to so the staff had decorated the room with balloons and candles.

On arrival my guests were greeted with welcome glasses of cava and canapés -really tasty and so plentiful - tortillas,mini pizza and chicken skewers, excellent catering provided by James and his team.

The staff were great, really helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and they made the evening run smoothly. Prior to the party, I sat down with Sam the assistant manager to go through all the details and my budget and she came up with a package tailored to my needs. She kept updating me on everything and made me feel so at ease like i was talking to a mate.

All my guests had a blast and i loved the fact that staff joined in to make the night special. Pause got a new booking out of my birthday from a mate.

It was a great night and a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves, thanks to the quality of the food and service.

Keep up the good work guys, and i will definitely be booking my work Christmas do real soon

Pause is definitely a hidden gem

Right close to work but never knew it existed till a friend invited me for lunch last week and have to say:

The place was so beautiful staff all said hello and welcomed us which is rare in London

I ordered from the lunch specials which was a bargain at 5.50 and we had the best service yet. we received comment cards guess they want to see what people think and asked for my fav tuna melt which i see they put on the specials this week

There should def be more bars like pause, great happy hour everyday, 2 4 1 cocktails and wine are half price! tucked into their tapas menu and was great, def be going back!

Fabulous lunch as usual and I was one of the lucky hundred to get a birthday invites for next Wednesday. Woopee!

Had a girlfriends birthday the other week on Friday. Inside, we tried out the different cocktails, our favourite was the Ginger Kiss with actual fresh fruits.

We loved the music, definitely a great mix. Bartenders were all dressed nice, a few very cute ones! Love the fact we could chat and mingle in the bar, and was definitely a great party atmosphere!we ended up staying till the end, and will definitely be heading down again very soon, especially after we were told about their new food menu!

was in pause one evening and i don't think I ever had such a memorable night, this place is such a lovely little bar, they do great drinks and the staff are just so friendly, there was this lady manager, was just such a delight, really made sure I had a great night. Was at Pause last night and had a great time, the new happy hour deal is great with loads of 2 for 1 and the guys were hot too!

Not the best experience by far! Wouldn't have anything good to say about this bar. Its really poor value for money, did not enjoy the food either. Really small portions for high prices. No good drinks deals. We definitely will not be returning.

Had a terrible time in Pause Bar. The food and drinks where poor quality and over priced. The toilets where extremely dirty. And there was no atmosphere at all. Would not recommend this bar to anyone!

Had the best leaving do ever at Pause on Friday
We downloaded free cocktail vouchers which Sam suggested would be a great start to our night from the website
Then we received a FREE bottle of champagne for booking with them which was such a special touch
Thanks to all the staff at pause i will definitely be down again soon for some more cocktails and ur special ginger bombs lol

Im from NY and it was my first time at Pause.
Have to say though, the night was absolutely fantastic! Packed with nice people, great music (not too cheesy but not too clubby either), good service and a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely be back there with the girls one day.

If you fancy a fun night out and a bit of a boogie in a nice friendly place, then Patch is definitely the place to go on a Saturday night.

I cant believe I only discovered Pause a few days ago...its round the corner from where I work. The best Cocktails I have had in ages and a really cosy atmosphere. Ill definately be back!

Amazing place! happy hour really cheap , tapas and sharing slates amazing! buzzy and bubbly stuff. can't be missed when you in City!

Pause is awsome! I went there had massive good time! Good drinks, Hot girls. But the sad part that I went home alone

January is suppose to be quite but guess not for pause on an off chance me and a few Friends were walking past when-we thought we would go in see how it is,did not not know it was busy from the the outside it seems quite but happy we went in and had a great time the place was so busy when it got later we had a blast and i have not been to a bar with attentive bar staff and even management were getting there hands dirty which is rare

Lets just say if ur looking for a place with great music, excellent staff who like to get to know there customers then Pause is the place definitely mine and new place to eat and drink, would recommend to anyone

Happy hour so cheap from 5-7 and still the same quality becoming a Thurs and fri regular lol never thought id be one of them but a great place to drink and great atmosphere oh before i forget there doing a promotion book a table for 10 people and above and get a bottle of bubbly i did lol....

I must tell you about this fabulous place. I have been back once since the refurb had our Christmas party there in Dec When I walked in the sounds of laughter and good times overwhelmed me. The place has such a great feel. I visited on a Friday night when a dj was performing. People where literally getting out of their seats and dancing! It seemed like everybody was old friends, even though most had just met for the first time. The Canapes we had was excellent complements to the chef. Bartender's, waitresses were very friendly and all of the staff seemed to be having fun along with the customers. The Staff that evening really impressed me. They worked hard However, one thing stood out to me the most, I noticed they always said goodnight to mostly all the customers by the name! That really showed the type of environment we were in. Fun, yet still professional. I will recommend Pause to everybody I know! The decor is breathtaking. Plus my company has already booked Pause for our Christmas do 2011 to beat the rush.

One word - awesome! Pause has recently had a refit! And I tell ya. It looks great, ive been going there for a while now with office mates and very friendly atmosphere, great drinks, food and staff, perfect night out!
