Myself and my friend (both females) went to the club night on Saturday 16 August 08 and had a fab time. Although we weren't on the guestlist, the bouncers let us through without making us wait and just searched out bags. The club inside was tastefully decorated and quite contemporary/modern. The DJ was good, mixing different types of music from Bhangra/Bollywood/RnB/Commercial - not cheesy music at all. The crowd were well behaved, no one was completely drunk and misbehaving, and the clubbers were a good mix of males/females. The venue and especially the dance floor is quite small though and got a bit crowded. However, would recommend this venue as we had a good time - would definitely visit again.

The first chap is absolutely right, the security at the venue have no manners what so ever. The initial greeting across the city is one of a friendly nature with a smile – but not here! It is almost as if the management expect trouble. I have not only been here on a Saturday for Kandi Nights, but my initial visit was on a weekday. The place is obviously not busy on weekdays, yet even then, our food was delivered after 45 minutes and the drinks order was placed at the bar as we could wait no longer. In fairness, the manager was pleasant and asked us to return on a Saturday for this Kandi Night, 2 weeks later, on 22/12/07 we did. We were a mixed group of 11, all professionals in our mid-late twenties, all were dressed to impress and yet we were treated like we are heading into an under 18’s rave. The management remembered us yet did not intervene and left us outside, the organisers are there one night so we can’t blame them as for them it’s a quick buck. We were appalled at the venue and management. It is a shame as the venue looks good, yet lacks organisation, ambience, service and most importantly customer retention!!!

Went on Saturday 27th October 2007 for the Kandy knights event that was advertised to start at 9.30. Got there at 9.00 as opening night and was informed would not be ready till 10.00. Spoke the organiser who apologied to me and my friends for the delay. Then by 10.30 they still did not let any one in and said they were waiting for DJ and then another security member. There was about 10 members of security just standing outside and it took two of them just to search me. Obviously they ahve to look like they are working. Then went aout to walk in and were informed no men allowed in yet. So waited another 15 minutes. Some girls walked in. Went to walk in and had to get searched again event though hadnt moved spots. Then when he finished one of the 10 security said friend wasnt dressed smartly. We did not understand why they waited 90 minutes to tell us this or made us get searched and wait outisde. Would not go back to this venue as too many bouncers, not enough common sense and they are racist. Went off to favela chic instead where there is a mixed crowd and no hassles to get in. I would not pay to get into this club especially when there was no one in the club and no females apart from the hangers on off the DJ.
