We used to really enjoy Project A. However, sadly, over the last 18 months or so it has gone downhill. The food is no longer fresh and tasty, and so the whole experience seems overpriced. You also have to pay for prawn crackers which is a sore point (especially when they are stale). It is the Ryanair-isation of restaurants, next there will be a surcharge for a table by the window!
I can't fault the staff, they are friendly and attentive - but Project A needs to re-up it's game, I won't be going back anytime soon.
Friendly staff, great food, excellent pool table! This is an undiscovered gem by the canal, love it.
Had my birthday party here, great place, love the decor, love the fact the we can sit outside beside the canal.
Food was very tasty, service not overly attentive but friendly and nice. Would highly recommend it.
Next on the agenda is to try out the dim sum and all day buffet on Sunday.
This lovely Thai restaurant has become my favorite local hangout. The food is always good, the staff is super friendly, and the venue is modern and stylish.
The restaurant also has a massive outdoor area - which is great in the summer when they do barbecues out on the deck.

Booked Plan A for a large party and it was fantastic - huge effort was made to make our night special and the food was excellent.
I was sceptical at first with trying out this place, as with many trendy looking bar/restaurants, you are often let down by the food. However, I was not disappointed. Starters - try the pandan chicken. Juicy, succulent chicken pieces wrapped in pandan leaves - superb! For those that generally stick to chicken satay to be on the 'safe' side - you're missing out. The lamb massaman was delicious, tender chunks of lamb in the most aromatic and rich sauce. The baked sea bass in banana leaf was also delicious. The choice of dishes is a plentiful without seemingly compromising quality. We had about 10 items overall and every one was lovely. The venue itself is also worth mentioning. Downstairs, you have a sensual and intimate bar and with the outside decking, it also creates a air of openness. Whereas upstairs, the modern and contemporary restaurant is suitable for both business and social dining. It was midweek when I visited so was not packed out and the service was very good. True, there may be a few teething problems, as you would expect with any new establishment and when they're busy and you cannot please everyone all the time, but I would always give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt, and the proof is in the pudding (so to speak) when things go wrong, what is done to make it better. One of the waitresses seemed new and was really nervous, but I recall what I was like when I was a young waitress once! The manager clearly noticed his staff's nervousness and the handled it professionally, explaining to her what she should had done wrong, but also at the same time reassuring her that she was not in trouble. To me, it fills me with confidence that the manager clearly seems passionate and dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction and good staff relations. The rest of the staff that served us were also extremely professional and friendly. Overall, I cannot fault this place and will definitely be back for more. Keep up the good work!
Having passed this restaurant on a number of occasions without entering, however we decided it would be ideal for a quiet bank holiday night. We chose a table that overlooked the canal in the restaurant. We ordered the prawn and squid and dimsum for starter and king prawns and thai green curry for main - unfortunately both the thai fish cakes and the lamb massaman had were not available. However the waiter was kind enough to recommend alternatives which turned out to be fantastic. The food was of excellent quality, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Would definately recommend Project A for anyone who enjoys canal side dining - cant wait to try to try the bar!!!
Oh my God this place has the worst service I have ever encountered! I recently moved into Gainsborough Studios and was looking forward to this restaurant becoming a regular haunt. I went in to order takeaways for two and after waiting for over 40 minutes, the waiter returns to me and asks "Mam, did you order the Chilli Beef? We've just sold out. Would you like to order something else?"
I couldn't believe my ears! Over 40 minutes later, and he NOW decides to tell me it's sold out! Shuddering to think how much longer it was going to take considering they hadn't even begun cooking my meal, I told him to cancel my order and left. There was no offer of compensation, of giving me my other dish for free or even a sincere apology.
I would strongly advise against this place unless you have the patience of a saint!
I love coming here in the summer for the bbq, bring on the summer!!
