The ViewLondon Review
If pubs were a drink, Richmond Arms would be a pint of Stella: sturdy, pedestrian, and packs the maximum alcohol punch for your pound. The VenueRichmond Arms is a large pub on Shepherds Bush Road. There are four main areas inside, including two large pool tables. Patio tables outside on the pavement provide a place for smokers or those enjoying the sun. The colour scheme is red throughout and there are large windows and several flashy VLT’s to lose your money on. It’s a bit shabby, but the crowd it attracts isn’t there for the decor.
The AtmosphereRichmond Arms is a builder’s pub - it attracts a mostly male, hard-working, hard-drinking, sports-loving crowd. The pub proudly advertises that they show all the football and rugby matches and they attract huge crowds. Great for mates, not so great for dates.
The DrinkSupporting the Real Ale movement, Richmond Arms proudly serve London Pride. Draught beer includes Fosters, Stella, Carling, Carlsberg, Strongbow and Guinness. There are a few wines by the glass or bottle and prices are cheap at under £3 a pint.
The Last WordYou wouldn’t go out of your way to come to the Richmond Arms, but if you wanted a cheap and friendly place to watch a big match, you could do a lot worse.
