4 of us have used this wonderful Italian Restaurant for lunch prior to Theatres for several years now and are never disappointed in the food which is excellent and tremendous value for money. I would say that the Wednesday lunch staff are a little miserable in comparison to Becci on Thursdays but not enough to put us off. After a pint of AK at the Spice of Life pub 50 yards away this makes the perfect start to a Theatre day !
Just been there and me and wife had tagliatelle, which in essence is a basic Italian dish. It was very bland and tasteless. My wife had difficulty deciding so politely asked if the waiter could recommend a dish with tagliatelle with chicken and a cream sauce. The waiter grumbled and frowned paying more interest in seating another couple, scribbled something down and dissapeared. He came back with slop with no taste or flare whatsoever. Avoid at all costs and go somewhere else, you will regret it.
Unfortunate and rare incident. Food was excellent, but they have charged the bill through twice. The first time initially on the night we ate there and then again a month later. I have spoken to bank who initially asked me to contact them which I did They deny that they have ever had a transaction for that date, even though they have charged me twice. Wasn't cheap either as there were 3 of us. Must be a scam they have running - so beware if you are paying by debit or credit card. Bank is now looking into it as fraud! Shame, have eaten there at least 3 times, but never again.....
Situated in a vibrant, bustling almost-Italian district in Soho, Ristorante Cappuccetto is an eatery deserving of positive reviews. It is charming, authentic and furthermore run by friendly staff. I am pleased to report that I have been a patron on multiple occasions and would recommend it to any food lover; the low prices just make everything taste that much better. It truly is a wonderful restaurant, and I highly advise you give it a go in the area. FrankieB
A lovely little "real" Italian restaurant in the middle of London... It's hard to find a better Italian restaurant in that price level in London. Been there so many times, and can't wait to come back and eat there again. The staff is so sweet and attending and the venue is small and cosy and the Italian pasta dishes is if you where at a restaurant in Milano or Venice ...
Salty food especially the pasta sauce. I love rustic restaurants but Cappuccetto is dim,old and in my opinion in need of a revamp also the seating is cramped. Avoid
One of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. The base was hard and chewy and soaked in oil, there was almost no tomato sauce and far far too much cheese. I asked for an egg on my pizza. They forgot. When I pointed this out they took the pizza away and then returned it with a fried egg placed on top of my already fried pizza. They then charged me £2.50 for the privilege. Considering the quality this restaurant is overpriced. I recommend going across the street to La Porchetta Pollo Bar where I have been many times and the pizza is great and cheap.
Overall - Avoid.
This restaurant is first class, food is excellant, wine is good, staff are friendly and attentive, have been a few times now and never had a bad experience, Dave & Hazel Barham
Let’s face it, London isn’t Paris, however much we may want it to be. But if you pop on a beret, toddle down to Patisserie Capucetto and nibble on a croissant you could just convince yourself otherwise.
Also, Patisserie Capucetto do the best coffee I have ever tasted ANYWHERE.
