The ViewLondon Review
Some bars in Piccadilly are only open if you want to dine out as well as drink but The Ritz's Rivoli Bar is an exception in the area and welcomes people who just fancy cocktails at any time of the evening. The VenueLocated in what is widely regarded as one of the best hotels in London, opposite the Royal Academy in the heart of Piccadilly, the Rivoli Bar is easy to find and a well located meeting point.
Art deco style graces this fabulous and sophisticated bar which has sumptuous golden ceilings, walls lined with silver and gold mirrors, and polished wood inset with panels of carved Lalique crystal.
The AtmosphereThe Rivoli Bar is on the ground floor of the hotel with large engraved windows overlooking Piccadilly.
A quiet bar suitable for all ages from young professionals to their parents, the luxurious decor and golden glow of the low lights make it a great place to unwind and socialise. As you'd expect the staff are very attentive, friendly and polite.
The DrinksThe drinks at the Rivoli Bar are very expensive but this does not detract from how good they are. Champagne, wine and cocktails of every type are on the menu and the cocktails are particularly good. The Cosmopolitans are out of this world as are the Sea Breezes which are sold as a long drink.
The Last WordThe Rivoli Bar is a great antidote to the busy streets of Piccadilly and is less crowded than other bars in the neighbourhood. Whilst it is certainly not lacking in glamour, it is a grown up bar in The Ritz Hotel and the atmosphere may be a little staid for some.
