What a horrible place! over priced entry, over packed, dodgy vodka and aggressive staff who earmarked one of my friends early on in the night and then kicked her out for stealing drinks even though she had the receipt in her hand! Give this place a miss the staff love their jobs far too much
I took my 2friends who were visiting london for couple of days to Roadhouse on Monday night. We arrived at 8:30pm, there was no entry charge, which we were very happy about. Had couple of drinks that bartender recommended. 2out of 3 were absolutelly amazing. Had second round of drinks in some kind of late night happy hour, very reasonably priced. then lady signing people for karaokee approched us. We were offered a free drink if we decide to sing-as 1st, but as non of us were stage types we polightly refused. We shared giant portion of nachos(more then enough for 3 of us for 10pounds), &the cheese sauce was fantastic!! Bar staff was a bit cheeky but very entertaining, doing little shows and throwing bottles around. Some very untalented singers entered the competition, which we had mostly laughed about. It got quite busy considering it was monday night, and its not easy to find busy place in this day. Atmosphere was great and we drunk and danced enough. My friends had wonderful time, even though by 2am one of them got refused to be sold more drinks by the bargirl and given bottle of water instead...So at that point we decided to leave. At the end of the day we had fun, didnt spend a fortune and got home in reasonable state. will definatelly go back when my friends are visiting again!
I'm not surprised by some of the reviews on here. this is truly an awful place to go for a night out. as people have already mentioned the door staff are extremely rude and aggressive. My friend and I were having a great time dancing away, then all of a sudden we get pulled out of the nightclub by 4 bouncers for being 'too drunk'. We had only had 3 beers! we informed them how much we had to drink but they didn't care.
It cost us £10 to get in which was not refunded. Please do not go here. there are so many better bars in London a minute walk away from here.
I was spending an evening with a friend of mine who has recently recovered from brain surgery as a result he needs to wear a hat when out to protect his head. on entry to this club the bouncer asked him to remove his hat the situation was explained and we were aloud entry to the club. we were in there for bout an hour before another bouncer in the club had asked him to remove his hat again I went to explain the situation but due to the loud music the bouncer could nt hear us and became aggressive and dragged my friend out of the club. once outside the club I calmy asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy i said id wait i waited outside in the rain until the manager appeared. I explained the situation to him, he accused my friend of "looking for a little argument" and he was nt goin to get one. i asked for the head office complaints number he gave me his own flash looking card and said to write it in an email to him..... like thats worth the paper its written on! I have searched the web to find the owner cause i cant imagine that the manager i met owns the place with such poor communication skills and such an aggressive nature. no success!
The night started out great, was having a reunion with some old friends, some of whom i’d not seen in years... then we came to Roadhouse.
Paid ten pounds to get in and bought a round of drinks for my friends. Needed to make a call so left after checking with the door staff that I could get back in.. all good.
Went for a walk and returned half an hour later but was denied access by the door staff. After politely telling them that I was the same guy they’d just let out and getting nowhere I eventually asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out and backed up the door staff. Fair enough, however he would not listen to reason so I asked for my £10 back at which point he walked back into the club completely ignoring me. As I tried to talk to him I was roughly pushed back by one of the other door staff.
I ended up waiting outside in the cold for my friends to come out, not wanting to spoil their evening. I wasn’t the only one, moments later a girl was kicked out of the club on her own for feeling ill and she wasn’t allowed back in to get her friends. Disgraceful.
It doesn’t surprise me that this kind of thing happens where management of a large city club don’t need to worry about customer loyalty and therefore customer service goes out of the window. The complaints process is sketchy at best and unfortunately it’s your word against thugs.
Avoid at all cost! I went with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Whilst waiting in the queue one of the girls with us was told she was not going to be allowed as she had already had too much alcohol for the night. Would not have questioned this if it was true but was very wide of the mark as she was far more sober than the majority of the rest of the group and others waiting in the line. The bouncer was then very aggressive with us when we questioned it and sighted her dilated pupils as a reason for her not being allowed in. The girl in question wears strong pescribtion contact lenses which causes her eyes to always have this appearence. The girl felt completely ridiculed by the staff so I questioned this some more and the bouncers became physically aggressive. We left and will never be going back!
Shocking service! I went with colleagues mid week for a few drinks, I ordered the first round and asked for the drinks to be made in a certain way. The guy behind the bar said it doesn't work if you do it like that, to which I replied that no one else seems to struggle and most bars do it as standard. He then refused to serve me for the rest of the night. Don't think I'll be going back
It started off a good night, a birthday of one of our own, but ended with one of the girls being kicked out of the club for absolutely no reason all on her own. Imagine the shock when one girl just doesn't come back from the small outdoors break. Some blonde girl insists that she go out for good for no reason. The drinks are extremely expensive and the venue isn't the best. Go to another location really, this one doesn't even want your business its kicked young girls out on their own.
