I went to the Rob Roy with some work mates for the first time in August and I have a complaint - it's not close enough to be my local! I thought the pub had exactly the drinks I wanted (I'm not sad enough to keep a checklist of bar stock), the girls behind the bar were great fun and eager to please, yeah , the toilets aren't the best but they performed the necessary function, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Not quite 5*, but not too far away.

The Rob Roy is laughable. I went in recently and asked for a G&T, a Guinness and a Stella but they had no gin and the Stella had run out too - is the Rob Roy actually a pub? There was no loo paper in the toilets, no cigarettes in the machine and a cash machine that doesn't dispense money!? I'm really trying to give this review some balance here, but I'm afraid I can't...Oh, yeah - they have a big screen for watching football on - that do?

The Rob Roy is ok if you just want a drink, but be prepared to wait a long time to get served food. Our waiting record of 1 hour from ordering to eating was smashed recently....a stomach-rumbling 2 hours from ordering, our food finally turned up.

Granted it was Friday lunchtime, but to have only one member of staff serving was dreadful!
