This bar has recently changed hands and is no longer the great bar it was. I was supposed to have my birthday here on Saturday having booked an area months ago. When I realised it had changed owners I rang them to check they still had my booking, checked what time I needed to get there and checked that the bar would still have the same atmosphere and music as it had before. I was assured my booking was fine and that the music etc would be similar. When I arrived with my friends at 9pm the whole place was empty, too light with no music. None of the tables were booked for me and when I asked when the dj was starting they said 9 - when I said it was already 9 they went to check and came back to say there was no DJ. We ended up going somewhere else and having a great night I was just very disappointed with the venue especially as I had made the effort to double check everything and I'd had so much fun there in the past. At present this place is empty and has no atmosphere - I'd stay clear until they sort themselves out.
Awesome!!!!!! I love Ruby Lo. My sister had her birthday out in London a few weeks ago because all her friends live there. We didn't have a clue where to go. One of girls recommended Ruby Lo and so did did a quick checked of the reviews!!! We went, we drank, we danced......we loved!! OK - the toilets were not perfect when we arrived but someone must have already told the staff cos someone cleared it up!
I wouldn't call this venue a club - it is more of a late-night bar where you can dance.
I had a great time with work colleagues last week. We popped in for an after-work drink or two on Friday and left around 1am!!
It is an easy place to get carried away enjoying yourself - as I found out! There were a couple of bad tracks played but this only made us want to dance more when the songs we liked came on!
I tell you, if you go with a a group of friends you'll struggle to leave!
I have never had a bad night here. I am actually surprised to read that people have not always enjoyed it.
Of course on a Friday and Saturday the staff are busy and not able to chat to customers like on Mondays but I have never found them to be rude.
I have not had troubles queuing before but I tend to either go early or later to miss the peak time of people arriving.
For me I have always had a great time; the drinks are great - whether it is a fancy cocktail or a bottle of wine from the extensive list.
In response to the complaint about the service - I have not had that experience but I don't plan to spend all my night with the staff anyway.
after reading the review , i was not sure anymore !!!!!!
then decide to end up at RUBY LO , we booked and was suppose to get a table , the manager told us it was busy and could not find one for us ,
then this french doorman came over ask me what was the matter and trust it or no the doorman find us table !!!!!!!!!!
he said "some people just left i will get the area clear for you don't worry just enjoy your night " then inside it was a kind of latino salsa night really really nice ,
i felt like been in south america , the bar staff was really friendly and the music very nice , to finish with doorman ,
he manage us a cab to guilford only for 60 quid , i will describe ruby lo as a really nice little club lost in west end with the BEST DORMAN in the world , thanks ruby lo and see you soon .......
This place was fantastic, like being home in America, REAL drinks, hot music, and staff/doormen that did their job. Thanks ruby lo, I'll be back :) XOXO
