It's OK here, but far more filled with drunks of the 'usual' wetherspoons ilk that Penderel's or the Templar (the other local 'spoons). I'd pop in for a pint but not a night out.

Shakespeare's Head is probably the best Wetherspoons in the area. The beer is well kept and they usually have a couple of extras on. The food is reasonably priced, but they do run out of the popular stuff early.
Shakespeare's Head is packed on Fridays, best place to be is the no smoking area.
