The food is always delicious. We did eat several times (mostly fish or vegetarian) and all was excellent. Special wishes like swapping side dishes was never a problem and executed with a smile.

I am not always impressed about all the people in the service. It is a mix. Most of the staff is very friendly, responsive and good while every time we have one person who is a bit arrogant. In general you deal with 3 or more people while you are there. All are friendly and good with the exception of one arrogant. Ignore the one and you are really happy.

It is a bit pricey but that is what you - at least I - expect from such a location with such a type of grill / restaurant / bar.

Very friendly and attentive if not slightly overly so. We went for the three course reduced menu offer which seemed to offer a nice selection at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately we were sorely disappointed and the pleasant riverside view didn’t compensate. The food was amazing bland and horrendously cooked. The starters were shoddily presented and generally sad looking. The mains were worse, my onglet of beef was beyond tasteless and my partners duck was so badly over cooked the meat was of a cardboard texture.

The puddings were a slightly redeeming feature but nothing special. Over all it felt like there was no care taken over the making of our meal and the dishes lacked the simple culinary finesse.

Although this was a ‘reduced’ menu you still expect the food to represent the establishment it’s served in, which doesn’t bode well for the restaurant side of Skylon. Would not recommend.
