We had a meal at So! this evening and were really impressed with both the service and quality of food. Both our starters (homemade carrot & coriander soup and king prawns) were beautifully cooked and our main meals (rib eye steak) were lovely, with generous portion sizes too! The service we received was exemplary and as everything is made to order, the restaurant was happy to cater for my food allergies. Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant, we will certainly be back!

I've visited this bar/restaurant several times now after attending conferences over at ExCeL. Fox@ExCeL tends to get over crowded and service can be poor but this place does great food and has a really good drinks menu at great prices, combined with a stunning dockside setting you have to see for yourself. The owners and the staff are friendly & helpful and I look forward to my next visit.

Today 8th june took the jubliee line from green park to canning town. Changed to DLR and got down in Custom house. Came across this bar called 'Fox'. My throat was dry like hay..yet i didnt bother to go in..was looking for some place better...walked past the famous 'excel'...crossed a lovely bridge. Not only was my throat dry, also was so hungry by then. Hopped in to this bar called 'So bar and Restaurant'. Ordered for Sweet chilli chicken skewers main dish, mussels for starter and chocolate trilogy for dessert. Tell u what, tere was just one word in my mind while i was eating 'Bravo'. The food was awesome. Out of curiosity, wanted to have a word with the chef. And there was this young lad who came up. Damn quite a talent for his age...prepares all the food by himself..The fella's name is 'Sohel'..I thanked him for the amazing food..I have had those dishes bfr...but never so good....gave him a handsome tip....... 5 stars with 2 imaginary stars....total 7 stars for So Bar..BRAVO...Well done Sohel

as a tourist from asia,i was desperately in search of secret hide-a-ways and popular locations in britain, famed for its reputation as a tour destination.i had been to all the major cities and visited all the medival sites n tourist hot spots.basically everything and every place mentioned/listed on my well-advertised tourist's itenrary! except one place in particular, that was not in the itenrary, britannia village, but which caught my attention after i witnessed a particularly vibrant and estatic group of people lounging away gloriously in a pub/bar/resturant,named "so! bar and resturant" curious! i went right on,hoping to relieve myself of all that fatigue over a glass of beer! bravo! i just happened to be their hundredth custommer of the day!in short i was served free beverage, dinner, and practically everything i could feast my eyes on! it was a royal treat! kudos to so! bar and resturant! dumo-arigato-gozaimus! you ppl definitely made my day!

If I could give this restaurant no stars, I would.
Went there yesterday and the food was possibly the worst I have ever eaten. Poor service, 4 plates of food came out cold and had to be returned only for the combinations to be mixed up - Thai green curry with pilau rice and tikka Marsala with the rice originally meant for the thai green curry. Spot the mix up! Cold muscles, very poor quality chicken. I would expect this quality from a place that charges a third of what it does.
If you have no choice but to go there, my advice would be to go for something that looks like it must be cooked fresh- Not the lasagna or the curries. Steer clear of fish and other seafood. I think the Pizzas were ok.
