My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Star and Anchor. Living in Ealing now for almost three years I had been meaning to go since it opened, as I pass it on daily basis and it looked good from the outside, but I hadn't got round to trying it. So we went here for the first time for lunch on Sunday Easter Day lunch and we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

The staff were all very friendly and efficient in taking our order, and clearing the table, just a little touch missed when the manager served us a bottle of wine (Pinot Grigio) and did not give us the chance to try it or even poor the wine into our wine glasses. The menu was not extensive, but it had a good variety.

The starter (Scallops) was delicious, very tasty and good portion. The main course (2 steaks with peppercorn sauce) took a while time to arrive, but when they did arrive again we were amazed with the portion size and presentation. The taste and flavours were fantastic and the portion size was perfect, so still we had stomach for the delicious desserts (Passion Fruits and Chocolate Fondant), which were served fairly quickly and with the same high quality and standards of the starters and main course.
We had a fantastic time here in a very cozy place and have no doubt we will be going here a lot more often and I would like to give highest compliments to the chef the food was great, tasteful, well-presented and all value for money.

One word to describe my experience at the Star and Anchor is "EXCELLENT" 10/10 for staff, 10/10 for venue, 10/10 for food, 10/10 for service! My friends and I held a leaving gathering at the venue on a Saturday, which surprisingly was free of charge including outdoor area reservations (all you have to do is bring your own tunes on a ipod and they will gladly play it for you). Everyone whom attended (over 30 ppl) complimented on how great everything was and from those who ordered food the highest compliments go to the chef and the kitchen team the food was delicious, very well received and all reasonably priced for the quality, portions are also of high satisfaction. All the bar staff was delightful, friendly and very helpful. It was truly a great night to remember. We had such a great night we decided to return the next day for Sunday dinner, which once again the food was delicious, the service and venue was still at top quality despite the late night. I would like to say thank you to all at the Star and Anchor and I would definitely recommend them for small social gatherings to family dinners (as they are also child friendly until around 8:30pm approximately) to quiet lunches to dates; it is definitely a all round multi purpose venue which have a very cosy and welcoming feeling to it. As locals we will definitely be returning.

Went here for the first time for Sunday lunch with a few friends who were visiting and we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon so will definitely go back again.

Living in West Ealing, my wife and I had been meaning to go since it opened, as we pass it regularly and it looked good from the outside, but we hadn't got round to trying it. Then we had a few friends in town for a barbecue on a Saturday evening and on the Sunday we wanted to carry on the celebration so we suggested the Star and Anchor for some food. We phoned to book a table, not knowing how busy it was going to be, and had no problem getting one for 8 people.

The staff were all very friendly and efficient in taking our order, serving drinks and clearing the table. The menu was not extensive, but it had a good range including a selection of roasts and pub-grub favourites.

Our starters took a long time to arrive, so we started fearing it was more style over substance, but they apologised a couple of times and explained about the delay so no major problems there. When they did arrive our fears were instantly dispelled. The taste and flavours were fantastic and the portion size was perfect, large enough so you could enjoy but small enough so you still wanted the main course. The mains followed fairly quickly and this time they were good sized portions and still maintained the high quality.

By the time we had eaten all of that, none of us could stomach any dessert, but I'm sure that they would have been equally as good.

All-in-all we had a fantastic time here in a wonderful place and have no doubt we will be going here a lot more often.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing alfresco meal in the beer garden of the new Star & Anchor in Ealing today. Starters of a terrine and salt and pepper squid followed by lamb and beef roasts were expertly prepared and presented and, most importantly, tasted wonderful! The wine list is very extensive and the manager-recommended white Rioja and Malbec were delectable. Pudding was a shared chocolate fondant with white chocolate ice cream, and they even had a peppermint Teapig for when I over-indulged on lunch!

Service was very friendly and efficient and the garden seems to be an oasis of calm out back. Very highly recommended!

My partner and I went for a meal and numerous drinks at the newly opened Star and Anchor.

The food was excellent (restaurant standard), the drink was reasonably priced (particularly the prosecco), and the service was very efficient. The manager Ash was also always on hand if there were any problems or anything extra was required and was eager to help.

All in all a very plesant place/way to spend an evening!

Just arrived from Sydney, found this place by accident. Very nice, newly refurbished, good food, nice people, good atmosphere. Reminded me of some of the flash pubs in Sydney, but much better value.

Worth trying if you in the area.
