I usually visit Taman Gang restaurant at least once a week for client meetings. The food never fails to impress and the cocktails are great. I love the fact that it transforms into a club at the Weekends and usually stay on to dance the night away. The bar/waiting staff are great but the door staff are a little tough...I've been questioned when returning inside after a quick ciggie on occasion. But I guess they have a job to do and do it well. Thank you Taman Gang for many a memorable evening.

Taman Gang is my regular Saturday night club and I have to say, I can not find another with a better atmosphere. Every week s a different vibe. Just a really great place to party.

Food was ok-ish but really not worth what they charge for it, my desert was a miniscule chocolate pudding which I ate in one and a half spoonfuls just to amuse my girlfriend. Had to wait for quite a while between courses and as we just finished our starters, tables were being moved. Dragged and banged around us, staff sprinting left right and centre by our sides. Etc lets just say this made the dining experience rather unpleasant. Decided to order some cocktails, for the price I was paying I expected to enjoy a well maid cocktail with half decent ingredients but the standard of the drinks is way below average and i'm being generous here. Infact they tasted bad and nothing compared to what you would expect in Mayfair. As we barely finished our desserts, our table was swapped for a little table, I ordered more cocktails as I was waiting for some friends to join in later where we planned to get into some champagne and celebrate the night away, but as I walked back from the bar to re-join my girlfriend I was told to move as the spot where I've been sat for the last one and half hour was booked. Seeing as I just paid a bill of over £200 in that same spot minutes before and barely finished my meal I wanted a little bit more courtesy especially as I was merely waiting for the rest of the party to arrive and we had another reserved spot in my friends name for later. I put the full drinks down on the table, left them there, grabbed my girlfriend by the hand and walked out. On the way out, the door staff asked me "are you coming back sir?" to which I replied "never again". Luckily I managed to save the night and got hold of my other party in time, and with a few contacts here and there got us all in somewhere else bigger and better so they joined me in there instead of Taman Gang, albeit we couldn't get a table last minute, we took over a little corner in the bar with our bottles and had a good time.

The staff were bitchy, judgemental and just generally rude. I got there at 10.20 with a group of 6 girl friends. We were all dressed up in the right kind of dress code. However we were forced to queue up for 45 mins- despite being at the front of the queue. Eventually at 11.15 they asked to see our id and we presented it to them, but they claimed the 'photos didn't look enough like 2 of my friends' which was not true. The only reason it didn't look like my friend was because the passport picture was taken a while ago. Anyways they proposed that we could enter if we all paid £10 because apparently we look a bit too young. After much deliberation a bitchy woman at the front eventually decided that weren't under any circumstances allowed to come. We were furious. Well f*** them!

In my experience, we were very welcome even when another of my friend joined in late, no one paid to get in, great decor, pleasant place but really, that's about it. Drinks are horrid and expensive (barmen couldn't even do some cocktails that were not on the list?!), music was common, sound system is bad, crowd... average. They want to compete with Buddhar Bar but they should stick to the restaurant side of the business.

I have had two contrasting experiences at this club. The first I got in free and loved the candles and flowers on entrance. Dance floor was cramped, music too loud, prententious teenagers and pervy rich men. HOWEVER made the most of the night and ended up having a fun time, mostly due to the fact me and a friend were invited to stay for the after party and were (I admit) very tipsy, which always tends to make a bad club look good.

I returned two weeks later and was refused entry by an ugly blonde woman. Just as the bouncers were letting me in she put her arm out to stop them. It was completely random. When I asked her why she claimed we looked too young, although we had all shown valid I'd and I am positive that my friends do not appear underage. I can't speak for myself, but everyone of the girls I was with were very attractive and have never had to suffer humiliation like that at the door of a club before. The best thing Taman can do is fire that woman! I will NEVER return and ensure noone I know bothers either.

I wasted last night at the club. first, we were told that was the official holiday of Ireland Brazil match, but it was all a lie. He had very bad organization in the lobby with a girl who judges your face and the price of your clothes. It appears that without wearing something cool you can not get through the door. Anyway I have seen many girls wearing Primark. There were plenty of cheap looking girls everywhere. It seemed that everyone there was rich, but it was far from reality.

We were in the guest list but still we paid about £20 each. Well, that's ok if the club is good, but not the case. I work in a club near the club and a supposedly equal level, but these people steal! They offer nothing and charge exorbitant prices. Two beers and a small glass of wine £25! The music, horrible, too high to make it sound bad. You could not hear, because a guy kept talking, I think that trying to sing. Then I saw a bartender with a hat, when the dress code prohibits hats. But when I thought it could not be worse, I saw a security man making a cocktail, but not all. He served after 6 shots and drank in the bar with all the bartenders. The bartenders wore T-shirts. that low class! The bar was plastic! that's worse! The location was not very clean and was a bit worn. To conclude, I do not understand how a place that works that way may have more than 10 people. I took a glass of champagne and leave the premises within 50 minutes, the worst club I have seen in London

I've been to Tamangang a number of times and actually had a great time last August on my 26th birthday. HOWEVER! I recently had friends visiting from L.A and so wanted to take them to a nice venue for dinner as i had heard the food here was very nice and it was the kind of vibe that we were looking for. My friend and I arrived fine, but our 2 male friends were running late, of which we informed the staff. They were being very nice at this point and were joking around with us about two pretty girls being stood up...Anyway, the guys finally arrive (we even ordered ahead for them because the staff were pressurizing us about the chef closing the kitchen). They then inform us that they'd experienced some trouble getting in at the door (This i thought was strange as it was just about 10pm on a Saturday night) But anyway, they obviously got in, so i didnt think much of it.

It was only later on whilst in conversation that they told me they each had to pay £20 to get inside!!!! Even though they told the person at the door that they had a table booked for dinner and the rest of the party was inside!I was horrified?!! We didnt come there to 'use' the club, we came for dinner! (An expensive dinner i might add) Oh yes, and also, even though we had only just been served our main courses.... the club decided it was acceptable for the DJ to crank up the volume whilst we were still eating!!! Meaning there was no chance for any civil conversation and basically, our dinner was ruined! I spoke with the waiter about the £40 the guys had to pay and he was VERY rude about the situation and basically dismissed the conversation. (hmm, change of tune once the guys arrived and you're no longer flirting with us!?!?)

I wish i had taken it up with management at the time but he gave me the 'oh, well he'll just say the same as me' line, and my friends didnt want to make a scene or ruin the night.Basically, i wouldn't advise going here for dinner and i certainly wont

It is late now and after visiting Taman Gang few times now I can honestly say that Taman Gang rocks and rolls every week end. Those who are not rich, and those who don't look good you just cant get in Taman Gang those bitches on the door will make sure of it. I have seen people cry, beg and give money but it does not work with this guys.

One slight weakness they have is that people book for their amazing restaurant and get in early so sometimes you see this one or two people who just don't belong their but I am sure they find a way to kick out this people also, it does not effect the place though as 99.9 percent are hot, rich party loving people, if you want to see a show a fun you have never seen in another club try to go to Taman Gang and consider yourself lucky. You know what is so worth amazing atmosphere amazing music amazing dancers, amazing Barman going on top of the bar dancing everyone parties here, everyone.

I actually had a nice time here on a Saturday. The decor is very nice. I hate skanky places when out with significant other. The food beat the hell out of e.g. Cuckoo Club or Cocoon. The music was good. The staff were friendly (and good looking). I wasn't keen about being kicked off my table after I'd just spent £300 on dinner and champagne because where I was was reserved by clubbers later. That's a major gripe actually now I come to think of it. My other half and I got chatting to some nice people in there. Unfortunately, the shots finished me off and the rest is a blur. Would go back for sure.

I didn't have any problems with getting in but I always make sure me and the girls are on the guest-list, you can't go out anywhere in London without being super organised. I know what Sandra means about getting a bit of a once over on the way you look but unfortunately that's how all these places work. After from the will I/ won't I get in moment it was pure party from the moment we got in.

The place is absolutely gorgeous all candles and flowers, really pretty. We got given free shots when we went in which was a bit of a bonus - I though that only happened on holiday?! It was quite a young crowd I think I would have preferred it a bit older. The bar staff are good fun dancing on the bar and making sure everyone is having a good time.

We met one of the guys who looks after the place and he has invited us back this weekend. So I am heading down tomorrow night to see what's going on this week! I would definitely recommend if you make sure you get on a guest-list and have your glad rags on!

The staff at this place are so stuck up, management is very poor! They reject people on the way they look. I went with some very pretty girls and the blond girl at the door who thinks she is some supermodel was giving us looks and we were not allowed in...clearly she was being bitchy!!! And could not handle the fact that there were other much more prettier and classy chicks around. I thought this place was classy and friendly...if they carry on acting the way they are I will be surprised if anyone goes there! We were not drunk just waiting to get in the freezing cold weather...we got there at 9:30 and were told we had to pay!!! Waited then told to get out of the queue!!!

If anyone is looking for a good, fun night out this is NOT the place to go to...its got horrible and rude staff, overpriced drinks and not worth wasting your time on. The manager should go on some course to improve his management/social skills as he clearly lacks them! And the girls at the door need to be replaced because they are not doing anything for the reputation of the club!!!

I went to Taman Gang last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed my night. We had dinner first then stayed on into the wee hours in the club. Although our table was only available until 10.30pm, we were invited to stay on afterwards in the club free of charge - bonus! It was very convenient to be able to dine then dance without waiting out in the cold to enter another club. Our friends joined us after our meal as the manager was kind enough to add their names to the guest list and we partied on until 3am! I will definitely be returning soon.

Wow all the negative reviews below are actually true. I went to Taman gang Feb 2009 and can say I enjoyed it from my experience I decided to celebrate my birthday there for 7 friends starting in Feb 2010 with dinner first. I can honestly say Taman gang has gone downhill a place which boasts it attracts A-listers such Samuel L Jackson, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss they need to get there act together. Bouncers will be bouncers don't expect them to smile or greet you warmly. Taman Gang has lost its wow factor its nothing special I don't understand why people want to cue up outside in the bitter cold to only be denied entry by the snobby women at the front door with the clip board who will judge you on how you look I actually watched her when I took a quick cigarette brake on how she reacted to certain individuals who wanted to go into the club and blatantly discriminated against race and how you looked if your not that attractive then you wont get in.

Be warned you better be ready to spend £500 on a table if you are. The table service is very average I like it when at the end of the meal you say yes the waiter deserved the £100 service charge that the restaurant automatically added on in this case it was the opposite. I felt the club was boring the deco was boring the orange lanterns on the ceiling look tacky when I spend £1000+ in a place I would appreciate top service and not to be forced to eat quickly, if I say to the waiter I’ll tell you when I want desert I don’t want to be told the chefs already put it in the oven so it will be out soon hmmmm.

This is possibly the worst club ever known to mankind. I cannot believe what I had to endure on Saturday night. The bouncers are quite frankly rude, and please don't get me started on the incredibly disgusting lady at the door, who seems to think her job is above all else, I wana take that damn clipboard of hers and smack her round the head with it with it. And for those who would be interested to hear, she actually works in Mcdonald's during the day. Which is why she always stinks of greece when you see her at night, maybe she's letting her frustration out on us, but whatever it is, that woman seriously needs a wake up call as to what she actually does. Stupid cow. I, along with 6 of my friends (all girls) were treated like scum on Saturday. Oh I forgot to mention, we're all Indian. Might give you a hint as to why we were given so much grief in entering this godforsaken club.

It was my friend's birthday, and she was refused entry by that stupid woman who looked her up and down and said that none of them were coming in, the one nice bouncer that was there, turned around to her and even protested as to why she had refused the girls entry. To which she replied thinking she's all bad " I've made my decision, they're not coming in" errrr talk about someone who is on a power trip. She had no reason not to let these girls in, they all looked stunning- and I am not just saying that as they are my friends, but they are extremely beautiful girls- all professionals might I add. I was already inside, they probably didn't even realise they let in an Indian, since I really don't look it, but they were clearly saying no to all the brown skinned people, whether u had a table or on the guestlist. Can you believe that? In this day and age, we are still subjected to racial discrimination. It sickens me. And it looks like my friends weren't the only ones according to some of the reviews on here.

Avoid at all costs! I live about 4 houses down from Taman gang and I was a regular diner there before its ghastly transformation in to a teenybob joint. I am constantly horrified to see the orange 'whore bags' and 'chavs' in the queue eagerly awaiting admission in to this ridiculous excuse for a club. The clip board girl obviously thinks she's landed the most prestigious job on earth and please don't get me started on the management.

Unfortunately I was dragged there kicking and screaming. And let me tell you this. Never again. For the comment below me(jayperro) . Who seems to feel this establishment attracts " the sexiest girls in London" iv got some advice for you. Get you eyes tested! You seem like a juvenile to me, who came by his first taste of a Mayfair club and is getting unnaturally enthusiastic about a dive which just seems to attract cheap clientele. If any one is after a decent night out I strongly suggest I keep as far away from Taman Gang as possible.

I am writing in disgust at the Pathetic bunch of Moaning idiots who have left Whining reviews below me because they were clearly too ugly, drunk or cheap to have A good Time at my regular and favourite night out in london - bar none! The 'blonde door girl' is good at her job and actually very polite and pleasant. She has a job to do (which is keep out the riff raff) and she does it well. Inside is hott! Good looking people and full of the sexiest girls in London. People who write reviews complaining of having to pay (when thinking they have been promised free entry) or not getting in at all, should face the reality that they must clearly be far to ugly to be a part of this wonderful gem of a club in Mayfair!

I have met all of the staff and they are some of the best bar staff, waiters and door staff I have ever experienced in my life. And as for the managers, they are thoughtful and communicative - and I have never had a problem finding them when I have any issues. Other clubs will simply never get the manager for you and fob you off with an excuse. These guys are amazing! As for the manager referred to in the last review (jab). He is one of the greatest guys I have ever met in my life. A true pro and always the party starter at Taman Gang, week in week out.

They should really ban ugly, cheap, library geeks from leaving reviews on this website about establishments that are far and away beyond the planet that they exist on. They should just get married to a fellow ugly person, have ugly kids, do nothing interesting for the rest of their lives and die quietly so the rest of us dont have to waste our time being bothered by them.

Taman Gang is perhaps the most awful club I have been to! Coming from a background where class and sophistication is emphasised. I thought Taman Gang lacked it all. The interior was nice , however the door staff were rude, I was on the guestlist and it was suppose to be free before 11 pm , yet they still decided to charge us £20 each eventhough it was 10 pm! The management is shit and the drinks over prices! Cranberry juice for £5 are you taking the piss? The girls they allow in are trashy, and the ratio of girls to guys was ridiculous! There were farrr toooo many girlsss in there. And a bunch of teenage guys on tables attracting them all like a flock of sheep?! The guys who had the tables thought that they could just pick any girl they liked, which to be fair was the most likely the truth, but certainly not with all the girls in the club. There wasnt a structured dance floor, so everytime you wanted to dance people just shoved past you, if your very drunk then this could potentially be an ok night. Otherwise avoid going there, try movida or the mayfair club. Where the atmosphere is more club like, rather than bar - turned club and cram packed.

To be perfectly honest, even giving Taman Gang 1 star would be a deceptive review in itself. I wish I could give it a zero. I went there last summer, and had one of the worst and most humiliating experiences of my life. My friends and I were inside, dancing, I had spent a good amount of money on the ridiculously overpriced drinks. My friend and I were at the bar at one point, about to pay, when these enormous bouncers grabbed mine and my friends arms and dragged us outside. While we were being manhandled up the stairs, we kept asking the bouncers why they were kicking us out, to which they gruffly answered 'you know exactly what you've done'. We were thrown outside; we repeatedly asked the bouncers and the blonde guestlist woman (who is seriously overestimating the importance of her pathetic job) why they had kicked us out of the club, to which they replied that we had to wait 'til the manager came outside. Eventually the manager, walked out of Taman Gang (remember his name for future complaints- yet he likes to be known as 'jab', a ridiculous nickname in itself.)

Not only did he not apologise for the way his staff had treated us, but he proceeded to accuse me of stealing a bottle of whisky. Let's remember that I was 19 at the time, I'm a girl and just the smell of whisky makes me nauseous, let alone the fact that I would never, ever, ever steal. The manger did not believe me in the slightest, despite the fact that I started crying in my state of shock. To make matters worse, I felt racially discriminated as he described me as a 'brown girl' to his staff. I am of Middle Eastern origin, but it made me feel as if he was targeting me simply due to my skin colour.'taman Gang' is Balinese for Park Lane, apparently. In reality it is on the corner of Marble Arch and Oxford Street. One could say that Taman Gang has an inferiority complex due to its location, and this is reflected in the manager and his staff, and the way they conduct business.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to making the time and effort to go to Taman Gang for New Years! I have never been so disgusted with staff at a club than I was with those at tg. First, on attempting to book tickets for New Years Eve, we had to go into a bank to pay money over the counter - most venues take debit or credit cards over the phone but no, tg insisted on this unusual method of payment. On New Years Eve I phoned up around 4 in the afternoon to ask if I could book another ticket as a friend had decided to come with us. Very little information or care offered, merely a response that no tickets could be kept aside and the ticket would have to be paid for prior to 5.30pm(!).

My friend phoned separately and she was given a different response. We all paid £45 for the ticket to guarantee entry into the club and also for breakfast at 4am, at which time the club was meant to be closing. We didn't arrive at tg until around half 11 or so, however, there was no queue, and without any conversation or otherwise, the doormen went indoors and shut and bolted the door in our faces (group of 3 girls). We knocked and eventually someone came out and made up some excuse about one of us being too drunk. They let us in after we tried to appeal to their better nature for a good wee while!

Then, me and my friends realised around 4.20 that we hadn't had breakfast - the club hadn't closed, we were busy dancing and didn't notice anyone with food either. I went to the bar and a member of stuff just shrugged his shoulders and said breakfast was served at 4 (no evidence of this because the dj continued to play music, people were still dancing) and we didn't see anyone else eat. The member of bar staff then just walked away and left me standing at the bar without any alternative or apology. 6 members of staff stood behind the bar cleaning and I was not impressed. £45 a ticket for entry to a club - which we were refused for no obvious reason - and then not even

after reading the club profile on viewlondon im incensed enough to have to write a review on this place to prove the profile is utterly incorrect ...can only add to the comments already posted, went to tamangang a couple of months ago and have vowed NEVER to go backfrom the door staff - including the infamous blonde who obviously deems holding a clipboard as the most important job on the planet - to the go-go girls who were obviously being paid to act like tramps, this place reeks of lack of professionalism and poor club management. still had a good time but that was more to do with the group i was with rather than the venue, over-priced and unworthy and the staff seriously let this place down stay away

DO NOT GO TO THIS STUCK UP VENUE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE A CRAP NIGHT!After calling up Taman Gang to find out whether you needed to be on a gueslist for friday night as it was my boy-friends birthday I was told, no you don't need to be on a guestlist just make sure you arrive before 9.50pm to ensure free entry as it is quite quiet tonight. I asked again are you sure you do not need a guestlist and was told no its fine. I took the ladies name incase I had any problems.I arrived there with my group of 10 people to be told by an arrogant meat head bouncer that we had been told the wrong information, he did not want to listen and told me to call the person I had spoken to, so I called her and she said I'll send someone upstairs, which did not happen.

At 10.10pm a girl came out to start letting people in and said you needed to be on a guestlist, I again explained I had been told half an hour previously that it was fine and told her who I had spoken to, which she then in a very patronising tone said sorry shes told you the wrong information we can't let in in without a guestlist. She made no effort what so ever to try and help me even though I had told her it was my boy-friends birthday and I had 10 people with me, she obviously didn't care that they would have lost out on alot of money that my group would have spent. If you want a good night out avoid stuck up venues such as Mahiki and Taman Gang where the people that work there think they are God!

Do not go here!

My boyfriend had his 30th birthday there recently, and it could not have been worse. The food was OK but the service was arrogant and rude. When the restaurant turned into a club I hoped things would improve, but the music was rubbish - the DJ was incapable of playing a song all the way through, was a bit like a non-stop mega mix of bad music. The club has go-go dancers in their underwear which made me feel like I was in a strip club - total tackorama.

The door list, which management assured us meant that our late comers would be let in was apparently useless. As the last review says - the staff were aggressive and rude all night, it really does ruin things!

The toilets were horrible and dangerous - with 'funky' ditches filled with stones on the floor, which one of the party tripped into.

There are so many good clubs in London - this place is a waste of time. If I could have given it no stars I would have!!

What a waste of time the bars turns into club so if you party hard like me; it interrupts the night. Some of the bar staffs are slow and become aggressive when serving drinks because on a big night like Saturday they don't have enough staff.

I thought this club was for over 21s however.... this wasn’t true! It' terrible really as the attitude inside became a bit immature with groups of screaming people asking for drinks. this club really shines out as a 18+ and not a 21s so be warned for a headache.

Think twice before investing time , effort and money to go to this place!Girls at the door extremely arrogant.

Regardless the pouring rain, staff were keen to keep us waiting at the door! I was the third person in the queue and had to wait 20 minutes.

Especially the blond girl at the door took her job way too seriously. As she did not have the ability to read a foreign name she could not spot my name on two different guest list.

She also had the audacity to refuse entry of two mature ladies ignoring our request to double check our names. We were pushed out of the que by the bouncers with a little threat and manager did not show a courtesy to apologise.

I am a 34 years old well educated and mannered lady. I have never been treated that badly. I felt like I was talking to a wall which is very frustrating as a human-being we are better than this in communication.

There is now means of communication with the door scarecrows. Customer care is absolutely nought.

My words are for the management, please invest in training of your staff and make them understand importance of customer care and train them in communication skills.

Your staff's attitude is no different then a caveman's attitude. I am sure posing at the door like a celebrity and refuse to listen the customer is not in your training policy.I am still waiting for an apology!

Visited Taman Gang 14/08/09 and its true seemed like you were trying to gain entrance to Fort Knox.

Security were nice seemed pretty professional better than most I've come across door girls seem keen to take their time in no hurry to see to us

The blond was especially obnoxious seems to take her job way too seriously. Drinks though nice very expensive, bar staff were enough, bit small and quite packed.

Lots of hot girls, music was great and the atmosphere despite everything was excellent, definitely had right kind of vibes going on.

Think some of the reviews here are highly exaggerated and yes I'd go back again maybe not too soon though.

For an expensive night out the quality lacked and it was mainly due to the entrance.

We had to queue even though we were on the guest list at the beginning of the night 9pm I found out that some of my friends were not allowed in and they only arrived at 10.30pm.

I don't think the door staff seemed to act in a professional manner.

Due to my some of my friends not being allowed in it was upsetting as I was celebrating my Birthday and it made me feel terrible!

I wish I could talk about some of the good things but the list of bad things out weighs this!

For some reason they were allowing people to queue even though the club was completely full inside, which is, was asking trouble.

It was until much later people started to leave like 11.30. In all honesty the door staff need re-training due to the way they handle people.

I will never go back unless they can sort out there standards from customer satisfaction to the kitchen.

My friends and I go clubbing mostly every weekend in central London and are always satisfied, we decided to go tamangang last night (Saturday),

Trust me it was a disgrace from the moment we got there at the queue was ridiculous waiting 4 over an hour even though we were on guest list and best friends with the promoter who had a table all ready 4 us

however that did not make a difference to the door staff who are so RUDE it was shocking, never experienced such miserable staff

it’s like u can smile u no, everyone’s aware that’s u have a shit job standing on ur feet all night in London’s freezing weather but it’s not our fault that were out on the weekend partying and ur stuck outside the club,

the worst door staff I have ever come across even the women!! They claim to play rnb but I didn’t hear any at all.

also I am 21 and I seriously think me and my friends were the youngest in there it was full of 30-40 English stuck up men in bad suits with cardigans it’s like what the hell are u doing here nightclubs are not 4 old people.

Tamangang claims to only let sophisticated glamorous people in however that was not true as I saw plenty of women dressed like tramps in flat shoes and jeans.

we will definitely not be going there again. if ur 30-40 u will fill it nicely. And also there were no good looking men in there unless u like old/desperate.

I went to Taman Gang for a birthday party and we were on a promoter's guest list.

It was rather frustrating that the bouncers insisted we queue in order to speak with the girl arranging the guest list (kind of defeated the purpose).

Once we had gotten her attention, however, we were given black plastic tokens to get free entry and ushered in.

I would definitely recommend getting on the guest list though because it seems to be a bit like Fort Knox.

The entrance is stunning and one (slightly bored) woman in a black bikini and topless man graced the front entrance making it seem rather reminiscent of Abercrombie & Fitch!

I guess something to keep the crowds entertained while they waited?! After walking down ancient looking stairs we saw that the club was just as nice with white orchids everywhere and low bench type cushioned seats.

As we got in at 11pm, the staff were still discreetly and quickly whisking away tables and creating the club.

More bikini clad women and topless men were wandering around giving out free shots.

We went into the promoter's section where we got free Vodka and mixers all night brought to our tables (so I really could not comment on the service at the bar).

The music and atmosphere was absolutely electric all night (mix of everything) and we stayed from 11pm (opening time) to 3am (closing time).

Every time someone bought a bottle staff brought it to the table with sparklers and a gong sounded.

During the night there were also bikini clad women dancing on the walls at intervals but it all seemed very burlesque and not stripper-like.

I would definitely return again but only if I did not have to pay for drinks because they were definitely overpriced. I would also recommend arriving early to avoid queues.

Oh, one more point, the dress code is standard London clubbing clothes, and luckily

If I had some negative stars I would award it. A rip-off place with very rude staff (except door keepers) including the manager of the place.

We (eight of us) were trying our metcard for the first time and after making us wait for one hour the door lady told us that she won't let us in as the place is oversubscribed (.... there was only a small queue behind us.. so i was amazed at her oversubscription claim)

.. and wait..unless we buy a table..(we didn't have a problem .. we probably would have spent more.. but the tone in which it was communicated stank).

We refused and she told us to move away from the queue so that she can deal with other people in the queue (... any guesses why she wanted to move on to next one in the queue if the place was so filled up..).

Thereafter we asked to speak to the manager, who we were told was too busy to come and see us.

Anyway after we insisted for sometime.. the manager came in and was very rude to start with.. almost got us into a verbal duel.. we were told that since our impression was already bad about the place there's no point of letting us in..

the manager said that he had an idea of profile of his customer and we were not the people club aimed at.

Any way will not go there ever.. and would strongly dissuade anybody going in there (not because of our experience but also of the constant stream of people coming out after just probably 10-20 minutes).

Awful! How they can say the staff are friendly is beyond a joke. It took over one hour to get into the club after the queuing for ages.

Even though the queue wasn't too long, the inept woman checking the guest list was in no rush to get anybody into the club.

Then, when in the club, I was twice short changed by the barman. The second time I challenged him on it, as he'd put some euro cents on the tray instead of a £1 coin.

The response I got was as if I were some kind of criminal. I didn't want my night to be ruined over a barman who can't count or identify Sterling then can't admit his mistakes (and also for only a couple of quid), so promptly abandoned my argument.

There is no dance floor, so you can't dance without other clubbers awkwardly trying to pass.

The male models stunk of BO and spread themselves around the club, making the aura one to avoid.

The DJ was the only bright spot, no repeats and some good Commercial tracks/mixes.

Unless there are some big changes at Taman Gang. I will certainly not be going again.

I was also short changed I shelled out on a bottle of bubbly which was £9.50 gave a £20 and he gave me .50p change.

He tried convincing me I gave £10 but after an argument he finally gave me the correct changed.

Seriously it's a new club and it was not worth all the aggravation I had there.

Seriously that's not the image a new club should have she was the first member of staff I saw, I know shocking behaviour for a new club.

Went to Taman Gang on the night of 16/05/09 with some colleagues, as being an Indonesian,

I was curious about this club and heard good reviews. Got in there, the door lady could not even find my name on the guess list and finally my colleague got me in.

As soon as we got in, it was empty and very quiet. We sat down at the tables and had few cocktails waiting for the dance floor started/restaurant to be closed.

The cocktails price were extremely expensive and on top of that you have to pay 12.5% service charge.

Finally around nearly mid night the dance floor was open to dance, tables been moved. the musics and the crowds were awful.

A few hours later, our table was filled with drinks which weren't for us, god knows whose for.

We were kicked off the table and argued with them and the lady who worked that night, i think she was some kind of Sale person trying to entertaint the promoters for clubs, she was very rude person i have ever met in entertainment industry/business.

she should have arranged the table to be reserved not just took a table which the guess were sitting down.

i have been to many clubs and spent loads of money but always have a fab time. I, Friends and colleagues decided would never ever come back to this club ever again.

Everything about Taman Gang is very bad!!!!

The two of us went to Taman Gang for dinner on Saturday and had a (mostly) great time.

The place has great food, with a romantic atmosphere and relaxed service, and after we finished our meal we moved into the lounge area for cocktails.

The only down side was the waitress insisting that we pay a tip on top of the 12.5% service charge (which apparently does not go to the staff).

A great place as long as you can stomach paying 25% over the cost of your meal.

I visited this club last weekend after hearing good things from a friend of mine. The overall atmostphere was electric! The general service was fairly poor and slow however i was impressed with the manor of the doorstaff there, as this is not usually the case in w1. Overall i'd definately return!

Went to Taman Gang on Friday and had a great time. The decor of the club is very cool (in a similar styly to Pangea when it was open) and the atmosphere is electric with everyone dancing around the tables. It was pretty crowded, but to be honest it helped with the party atmos. If you want a full-on party atmosphere then this is certainly the place to be. Its also a restuarant earlier on, so you can do the whole dinner-club thing if you want. The queues outside were pretty big the night we went, but my friend had a Black Card from London parties, so we sailed straight pass the queue and straight in! A fabulous night!
