Was looking forward to visiting this pub as it had a major renovations and it has an enviable position in the middle of Putney Heath so a London pub in countryside - fab! Or so I thought. The meal and drinks were Ok - mediocre really but not bad - expensive more than even London prices but I guess you're paying I guess for the ambience. However - sitting anywhere near the toilets was a no no! wondered why there were empty tables nearby...the toilets stank! So everytime the door opened the smell of stale urine - and whatever - wafted over to our table a good 20 yards away...I've never been back to the pub as this put me right off. If you want to sit in the garden - great - or in another part of the pub away from the stinky toilets then away you go!! but at those prices forget it! Clean those toilets daily PLEASE!

I have been a local and a regular for a long time but have really had enough now.

Twice in a row they stopped serving food at a weekend in the middle of peak lunch times.

Now their clientele is clearly there for the beer and the big screen footaball matches that end in swearing violently and abuse exchanged between punters even when the place is full of kids crawling around on the floor surrounded by lego on a Sunday afternoon.

£7.50 for a glass of sauvignon blanc – well its ok if nice atmosphere and a good lunch but you buy a few rounds and then try and order lunch and they tell they have stopped serving and you have to go somewhere else.

Once it was 1:30pm on Saturday and today was 2:30pm on a Sunday and we'd already spent £50 on drinks.Crazy idea trying to be all things to all people.

You could have a good business if you did decent food, reasonable service and charge more or less what you like for drinks but with NO FOOD spit and sawdust sports bar atmosphere, mixed with a creche, things are going to go badly wrong here.

weirdly i went to the Telegraph for lunch today, i look my mum and the food was going all day?!

it was only the roasts that sold out at 2.30 cause we asked for the beef. I used to own a pub and its very difficult when your caught out on a very busy autumn weekend which is very sunny!

I have never once had a bad lunch/dinner there and sooooo glad that we finally have a wonderful pub in the neighbourhood without going to the busy pubs in the putney high street that actually does have all the football hooligans that swear on a regular basis.

The football must have been either a one off or a new thing cause we have asked to have it played for our nephew who is a mad Manu fan and they wouldn't.

Also, i happen to know that it was only shown in the bar area and there are two other dinning areas that didn't have the footie on cause i was sitting in one of them.

I have never been disappointed with the place, become a friendly regular and of course nothing is every perfect and situ;s can occur but i feel quiet strongly that you have slagged this place off when i have had nothing but amazing food and a friendly smile from all of the staff.

View Londons Review is alot closer to the mark! Jenni Lucas

The information on this pub is out of date - it does have disabled access and toilets - and no fruit machines. It is the busiest pub ever and is pure quality. 6 ales, fab food, massive garden and loads of live music. Great place for a long summer drink or a cozy winter meal. Go there soon!

I stumbled across The Telegraph recently. It is wonderful - I love it. You can sit by the fire relaxing with wonderful food - especially the Sunday lunch. The Telegraph staff are very attentive. I will go again often. It is like a country pub in London, and it has a good name.

The Telegraph Inn has recently been refurbished and I can honestly say it is the nicest looking pub, inside and out, I've been to in London. Telegraph Inn is spacious, big leather sofas, friendly bar staff and quality in abundance.

Branding itself as A Country Pub in London is exactly what it is - overlooking a cricket ground and situated in the heart of Putney Heath, you won't be dissapointed. Great food (Sunday Roast is a treat) and excellent space for parties. Can't wait to have one there myself.

I stumbled on the Telegraph Inn on a walk once and thought it looked really promising from the outside.
On the inside though it has a really strange atmosphere. I got the impression that the Telegraph Inn is a place where people come to drink themselves to death in bad company so I finished my beer pronto and left!
