I live just around the corner and The Albert wasn't much to visit before. Just ate dinner there on Saturday night (14 April). Amazing! The refurb did not extend to just the physical structure. The menu was great, everyone in my party was really surprised and the servers were really friendly. Great interior and exterior. Will go again - The Albert's my new local!

I'm really looking forward to The Albert reopening - Norbiton really could do with a genuinely nice pub where you can get some good food and a good beer. I do hope the Albert lives up to what people are saying about it! Does anyone know the opening date yet?

I've been drinking in The Albert for a few years now and I can't wait for it to open again - it was certainly a place that could have done with a lick of paint and from what I can see it looks very nice indeed. I spoke briefly with the chef yesterday and the food sounds like it's going to be good. I'm looking forward to getting my backside parked in the Albert again soon, that's for sure.
