This place is terrible. The wine is cheap and nasty - how they can call it a "wine bar" I can't imagine. The only thing worse is the staff, who are rude and surly. Avoid at all costs.

Please disregard this review - it must be written by someone who is in a bad mood. The staff are absolutely amazing - attentive, polite and such a change to see familiar welcoming faces when you return. The wine bar is used by professional and amateur wine tasters - what is this reviewer on about! Try the place out - its unique!

What a lovely bar - stopped in for a quick glass of wine last night before dinner elsewhere and loved the decor, ambiance and wine list! Ended up pushing dinner back by an hour to enjoy a bottle of red by candle light watching the rain pour down outside. Perfect.

What a cheery place The Arches turned out to be! Expecting the worst after seeing the exterior decor, I must say I was pleasantly suprised with what I saw inside the Arches. Old men playing dominoes, lovely bar staff and pretty reasonable prices!
