The management are rude, bad tempered and extremely unpleasant. I will not be going back here again. Especially as the pub was almost empty while the majority of customers were only drinking tea as it was at 10:00 in the morning and my request was for a pot of tea myself!

Friendly bar staff, but unfriendly management. Recently introduced an Over-25's policy with no reason given. Having been my local for some time I now look elsewhere. I can recommend the George IV, Packhorse & Talbot, The Tabard, or The Raven, all within walking distance.

The Barley Mow has just undergone a major transformation. What was a scary place is now a really nice boozer. The pool tables have gone and in their place is a dining area, and here's the big change: the food is great!

Get in The Barley Mow quick before the rest of Chiswick discovers it.

Just a quick note to say that the Barley Mow pub has changed beyond recognition. Gone are the pool tables, scary clientele...and the smell! It's now a really lovely pub: nice atmosphere, good range of beers - and the food looks good too. The Barley Mow is well worth a look.

The Barley Mow in Chiswick is one of my favourite pubs to sit at a table outside and soak up the sun during the summer. Locally, The Barley Mow has built up a good reputation for the generous portions of food and although it's not the cheapest place to eat, I'd still recommend it.
