I've recently become a West Londoner moving to Shepard's Bush after leaving my native South West (Tooting) where I've lived in for the majority of my life. One of the things I was worried most about moving to a new area was finding a nice spot to relax and get a nice drink at, having become used to my local. The Bird In Hand was recommended to me by a work colleague, and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised!..I felt welcome straight away..no awkwardness..it was like I'd been going there for years! Service was good, I found prices were a little more than I was used to..but I guess that's what you get with a re-vamped pub like The Bird In Hand..it's a million years from the oldies pub I'm used to. But I guess it's time to be out with the old and in with the new!

I went to the Bird in Hand the other day for the first time, actually on a first date. The food and service here both contributed to we both thought was a great meal. Definately will be going back!
