From the outside and initial impression from inside this appears to be a traditional english pub - dark wooden interior, many cask ales on tap, locals standing at the bar and set in the heart of a town community.

However what sets this pub apart is the great Thai food, the best I've tasted in London - far better than the chains you get around the city etc. It really is worth the journey out to this pub for the food alone! Locals are extremely friendly (again unknown for London) as is the owner and Thai waiter staff.

If you are around Canda Water/Canary Wharf or SE16, its worth the trip! Only downside is the price of drinking at over £4.50 a pint.

The Blacksmith's Arms is a good pub with a good old fashioned feel to it. Even though they serve great tasting Thai food, they still keep a good range of British beers on tap.

If you like your food and your beer even more, then I suggest a trip to the Blacksmith's Arms for a little (or a lot) of both.
