The previous review o some years ago is spot on. A wonderful escape in the heart of London for a bloke to sit and have a pint and read the paper in peace or enjoy some good banter with mates or other patrons..women who want a pinot grigio and wooden floorboards should walk on by and go to one of the numerous other pubs now catering for your tastes. If you too love pubs with carpet, a landlord who wears a tie and friendliness in people rather than the chalkboard come too. This is a pub..unashamedly so...and god we need to keep these alive.

I happened upon the Blue Post pub in London's busy west end and had a feeling of walking into a warm and friendly place where both locals and strangers seemed to mingle contentedly. It was friendly, the drinkers spanning all ages and from all walks of life and countries, and for once I felt I'd found a place that was actually interesting! I had a fab night and was delighted with delicious food that was also served. This a gem of a place and well worth making a visit too! I had to let everyone know!
