I'm not happy with the place at all , I went there ones and I get in that time , last night I went there with 3girls and 2 boys and the lady on the door set no(one time can get in one time not ) I was surprise but nothing I can do , she set pay 350 for a bottle and can get in , I think this place is a big joke and there are many places with better music and people on the door,, not recommended at all...empty people that's it
Greetings Tony,
I was highly embarrassed at the door of BLC tonight and i found that extremely disrespectful...your staff at the door(Coral)is a total mess i must say....
She told me that i must spend 1,000GBP for a table which i agreed to then came back to say it was a members only club which is total B.S. because we all know she just dint want my business partners and i in the club for whatever reason best known to her..
My advice to you Sir is to put a professional at your door and not let a young disrespectful girl ruin your well established business as you an i know what that can cause..most especially when you never know who comes to your door.

Hello,Reviewer Simonmj09/02/2012 I would first like to answer this review, Simon in a transparent way, please tell us here on Review the date of purchase and what Champagne, paid by credit card or cash, and how did you manage to have this bottle of Champagne taken, it was never reported, you can be sure if it was purchased and taken by sombody, and you complained it would be replaced at once!!!!! as for the phone and not having your call returned, you are a seasoned club patron, you would know very well on your way to Jet Black thats just a 3 min: walk from us, to pass by BLC and ask about your phone!!!! I must also say that Jet Black will be fantastic for you!! Regards Tony Engleman(where the Buck Stops at BLC)
I'm a regular in London if you want to party do not attend this club door staff extremely rude. I lost a bottle of champagne fully paid for and had my mobile phone stolen. The club did not help even though they were contacted on numerous occasions. 1/10
If you want a party go to jet blacks.

I Myself am a regular in The British Luxury Club, I've been going along with a girl I've been dating for some time now. Some points. One of the doormen is particularly rude, giving no eye contact, even though he's seen me enter the club many a time, and knows that I am friends with the gm. And still waits for me to be allowed to enter, which to be frank is a nightmare. As you walk into the club. Everyone is dressed well. The md is very much on show, doing his job and also getting involved personally with the crowd. Lots of beautiful women ( although armed with lube and condoms in their bag ) make your own assumptions. The music is amazing, the bar staff are fantastic, it's very much a place to listen to great music, great drinks, and in general have a great time. Blc is the club to end your night, the likes of Jet Black are shite in comparison, if you want a small decent plush club to end your night. This is the place to go. I love it, and I am there at least once a week. And as you can see from my writing, I have been there tonight.! Lol! People, get yourself down there. Have a good time.
BLC is a fine club that fills in the void between 3am-6am. It has a wide and varied clientele. Tony Engleman unlike other club owners is on site most nights and pays personal attention to his venue. He is a very good host and despite some of the comments here, actually cares about his guests. A late night venue is rare and comes at a premium, especially as its marketed towards a 'better heeled' audience. If you have an issue with the cost of the place there is always that bottle of Vodka you have tucked away at home as an option. A lot of these posts seem to have some personal undertones and are far from fair and unbiased. If you don't like the place, don't go there, in fact don't even talk about it and do whatever it is that you do, instead of loading your negatives onto this blog time and time again.
Money can buy a lot of things, but it can't buy class.
That's more/less how I would describe up the guys who go there. The women that go there are women who like money and don't really care about personal appearance or personality. To be fair, I've only seen the people there at 4AM after they're all drunk, so maybe the alcohol is a factor, and not everyone is like that (probably only 80%).
Door girl is a complete jerk, but she is really cute. Part of her job though to build the fantasy of getting into a highly exclusive club.
I have to say that I love the actual bar. At the moment, I can't think of a design I like better. Just my personal preference and favorite color.
In summary, if you're a HNW individual (or woman looking for HNW) and looking for an afterhours club and closet prostitutes, go to the BLC. If you're not, you're wasting your time and you'll be better off catching up on your sleep.
If you're a woman, you can probably guess what you need to look like and dress like to get in. I must say that it was quite sad to see the women there, but we all have to make a living somehow.
4 Stars for that bar!
Hi All... went to BLC last night and had a good time... the atmosphere was great and everyone was having a good time... decor was nice, music was nice... had no problems gettin in either... only two problems were a).. on the fb page the opening hours are advertised from 00:00, we turned up there about 00:15 to find the doors shut! haha! we left and got back about 3:00am and the party had finally began to start!
b) there was this lady who was showing people to the tables... i didnt have an encounter with her, but overheard her convo with a toilet attendant about how she wouldnt have let 'those people in' etc etc... i think its a pretty arrogant way of thinking when youre not even the owner... but apart from that ... fab venue.. fab night....
Really liked the club, last time I went. Especially one of the waitresses, she is gorgeous and polite, just beautiful. Sure will be back and ask a table to be served from Susana! Thank you Girl, had a great night.B xxx
So, ive just experienced my 1st time at BLC. I am an experienced clubber &bar goer, i know london well &i have a very broad taste in clubs &music. &im fair. The night was pretty extreme &thats why i want to leave a review. The bouncers were polite, but the shambles at the door when we arrived to pay £750 for a table was embarrassing. BLC take note. The host was rude, pretencious &totally lacking manners, she kept us waiting for a rediculous amount of time, everyone in the queue was literally herded like cattle, &staff should be efficient &polite- not arrogant &conceited! Downstairs the pullava with the tables continued, no one knew what they were doing. The club is quite cute, chic, &well presented. But certainly nothing cutting edge or memorable, &in particular quite pokey &small. Clientele were mixed, there were some very young kids in there though, which made it quite immature. The atmosphere was quite good. But most people, unfortunately, were extremely pretencious &there was alot of bolshy no-manners pushing by spoilt brats just to get past fellow clubbers for no reason other than attitude. Quite alot of solo letchy men too. Not pleasant for a group of ladies. The security could have a more responsible approach to this sleazy behaviour, after a while it became so irritating. Drinks are fine, standard prices for a mayfair venue. Music was pretty good, i would say as adventurous as an elite west end club would go- so thumbs up there. some eclectic party &house vibes without the cheesy chart hits. Overall though, there are far finer places to bother with in london, of a higher calibre, both of design, service, space, &certainly with a better host on the door. & with a decent clientele- if you want pretenciousness &girls so snooty &cheap that they literally have their knickers on show, this is your place. If not, spend your cash elsewhere, BLC really dont appreciate it, no matter how nice you may be toward them, they clearly are only interested in your £, not provi
wow, gadsby, now i know that KATIE PRICE was there, i take it all back! obviously BLC is full of the most famous stars on the planet
!i am so sad i missed HER presence! and her CAGE FIGHTING boyfriend too......i really missed out on that night..i mean, BLC must have fought tooth and nail to get KATIE there...
sadly, this is the level of 'celebs' that seem to frequent this club.
my advice - don't bother, head somewhere cool and forget the wannabes.
I was taken here for the first time this past Friday as a favour to my father and i had a wonderful time!
The staff were pleasant and professional and there were no overly aggressive clientele such as i experienced in another club earlier that night, possibly down to the security not having an open door policy!.
I am not pretentious and do not consider myself a "wannabe" i found the atmosphere relaxed but cool and the people pleasant without exception the music was a good mix and the drinks were well made.
As for the management they were fantastic i had the pleasure of meeting the owner and found him to be cordial, polite and welcoming.
I have no interest in becoming embroiled in mud slinging as it is beyond dull, however i would like to thank the BLC for their hospitality and would love to visit again next time I'm in London.
aah tony,i can assure you i dont know the person who quite rightly did the crap review of your club.
your continued practice of charging outrageous amounts for what seems to be a hangout for z list celebs (on a good night) seems to have ruffled your feathers again.
it seems you have a very thin skin and react with anger towards anyone who does not agree with your view that your club is the most exclusive in europe.
like i've said before - stop hanging around with your backslapping friends and visit some real clubs with proper class.
regards,
geoff.
tried to get in a couple of times but couldn't. door staff were decent enough and treated me well.
what attracted me was in fact the down to earth nature of the door staff and the people that were standing outside who seemed like 'normal' people and unpretentious, unlike other clubs where everyone and everything appears fake.
would like to get in one day and try it out.
tony - how do i become a member ?
Hi Tony,I am trying to find a job in a club/bar. I was wondering if you need a bartender or if you know someone who does.
I have experience as a bartender. I will give you more info if you are interested. Best regards.
Andrea
Hi Tony i was in your club with Alex & Katie Price last week.
What a great night it was. Could you tell me who the DJ was,his music was the B...locks.
My first visit to BLC was a pleasure. The door staff were efficient and pleasant enough, but did their jobs with the authority that was necessary.
I enjoyed the music and the atmosphere was great. Absolutely loved the decor. Bar staff were also friendly.
I think its a great place to go to if you want to continue your night and would be glad to get the opportunity to go again.
Not sure how you would become a member but as a young lady who enjoys socialising, having fun and good music would definately want to put BLC on my list of places to go every once in a while. I had a great time!!
I've not been to the club but I met the owner, Tony, recently.
If the club is anything like him, then I want membership! Charismatic, rock 'n roll, too cool for school.....
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!! i paid £1,500 for a table only to be treated with very rude door staff and management.
As for the women they are just cheap tacky gold diggers who have no style or class. If there idea of A-LIST celebrities is the likes of CALLUM BEST OR THE LOSERS OF REALITY TV SHOWS then this place needs to take some tips from the likes of Boujis or Movida.
having partied with the likes of PRINCE HARRY AND DIDIER DROGBA at "REAL" London hotspots then do not consider this cheap, tacky and worthless club.
Hope my review is useful R.C
To tell the truth, I found this club interesting last year, after reading these arguing reviews.
As I see it's still the same, like a typical divorce case!
For Tony: You should say thank you to your "Enemies" for the FREE promotion, because we all know that the only important thing : THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT IT!
For your "Enemies": If the key does not match the door, that's not the door's fault!
For every body: Life is to short to be angry, better to party, London is full of places, and each pot has a top !
Hello.I just want to say that I worked in this club a number of years ago when it was still called the Kaberet.
Judgeing by this website the club has changed alot so I can not comment on the service provided there now but what I do want to say is that the Kaberet was well run along with very friendly staff.
I also know that Tony has been in the club bussiness for a very long time, so I do not think that he needs advice from people on this site.
Interestingly enough if Tony did not have a clue about running night clubs, why is it that this club is still going strong?
Tony your obviously doing something right.Q.. Am I right in thinking that the club does not open now until 1am?
I was ringing last night but with no luck...Thanks Amie..
Tacky, with poor quality drinks.
hello tony,as well as running a **** club, your memory matches.
i have never set foot in your club once, having been monstered by the idiots on your door.
i have gleaned my information from many others on this site and in the nightclub industry who agree with me about how rubbish your club is.
your ridiculous comments highlight the level of mentality that surrounds you and your establishment.
the sooner its shut down, the better. im sure the authorities are watching your every move very closely now, as mentioned by others on this site.
i for one, hope that this club is finally closed down.
terrible staff, arrogant management, and totally overpriced tables for what is on offer.
i agree with the other comments about trashy loose women.
much better lower priced clubs in london which close at decent hours and attract sensible party goers who are not desperate to be noticed by anyone.
if you want to be exclusive, this is the last place you should be seen in.
Here is the lowdown on BLC from someone that has been over 30 times since it opened a couple of years ago.
Firstly this is mainly an after hours club (3am - 6am), in London there are a handful of half decent clubs open this late unless you want to go to a rave venue like Egg or gay club in Vauxhall like Fire.
The hedonistic crowd that choose to party on in these hours are generally inebriated so heavies at the door are imperative and keeping a license with Westminster council is tough nowadays but they do a good job to avoid any trouble.
The crowd is mix of pretentious promoters from nearby members clubs and the bloodsucking loose women that cling on to them in search of instant riches from the bankers that buy most of the tables like citytrader below who got us all into this mess we can't get out of.
(Incidentally some of them are still blowing their bonus cash in here that is financed by the taxes we pay that kept them afloat).
The Manager and Owner keep a steady flow of girls in the venue by offering them free membership cards which in turn pleases the bankers and players that in turn scoop them up with there immorally earned cash flow.
In summary BLC represents everything that is wrong with London, the bling bling culture, the instant gratification of self indulgence and narcissim.
Music is great if you like minimal electro but run for your life if you don't (you'll probably be too wasted to give a damn at this hour anyhow).
The best bit is you will probably go back as their are no other decent options in this so called 24 hour city of ours. Long live BLC and the inevitable hangovers that follow!
Went there on Thursday night, very nice venue, smiley & attentive staff and a cool owner. Good night out!
this place is just another subterranean haunt that is here today and gone tomorrow. staff are rude. the space is poorly laid out. and the people average. shame. high hopes. poor delivery....
TM
Finally the council and the police are in the place each nights.
And Tony I let you know that they are waiting for the smallest issue to close your place.
Hope soon becouse it is disaster to live @ the neighbour.
Regards
BLC truly is a favourite of mine .. closely followed by Boujis. The secuirity precence is good, you know your safe and that slight air of it being ever so exclusive but so not snobby like so many other high end west london clubs.
(Movida lacks this where the secuirity are ill mannered and quite frankly aggressive beings!)
Its the kind of club that has its regulars and everytime you go back you can be sure there's friendly faces all there for a good time.
(Maddox i've find is far from like this - i find that place very volitile when it gets late, cliquey from the fash' camps competing with their own little corners delegated, and the staff a bit rude).
BLC is the kind of place you can get up and dance or equally still have a good conversation in.
The music playlist unbeatable. Never a dull moment there. ..You can't stop a girl who loves to dance in there! :-)
They've got a great vibe there in the dj area of the clubs layout. The staff are always so decent, and if their busy you can be sure when it comes round to you you'll get the best service.
These guys are quite simply fabulous. The atmosphere and regular clientelle very cool, hip social butterflies who know where to go not where to be seen. These guys i believe are what make BLC.
Apart from the fabulous non fussy decor and the great blue wave of lighting i really believe it is the careful selection of their clientelle that makes it what it is.
There's no WAG / footballer types. Which is a breath of fresh air.One of Londons best hidden secrets... the BLC. Keep up the fabulous work guys.x
Top night. Great people a real privilege. Thank you. Tony you are a good man.
I just stumbled across this site and never post reviews about clubs, however as a frequent visitor to the BLC I will give my thoughts:
Music: Mainly minimal house, which I love. The DJ, Shane, is one of the best.
Bar: Friendly bar staff, good drinks, expensive but then same as any other top-end night club.
Layout: I'm no artist but very minmal decor, nice long stretch to stand/sit by the bar, also some small tables on the side there. then there is a decent size dance floor with the more exclusive tables around it
Smoking Area: Outside area where you can smoke, which is my favourite part as it is a great place to socialise.
Staff: Can be quite busy as they are dealing with clients who expect a lot. I have no problem with that and they are always very friendly when they are not in the middle of sorting something out.
Security: Yes there is a big presence, but they are never agressive and I've never seen any problems.
Owner: Great guy. Everyone wants to speak to him and have some of his time. Even though I'm not a big spender he is always very friendly and polite to me.I was there on Sat night. The place was full inside so they just couldn't let people in. I guess its a health and safety issue. They were turning away members too (me included)
In summary its a great place to go after clubbing. You can continue paryting there or just socialise with the regulars. Full of hot women. As for the guys, no comment, but i'm not old and sleazy and neither are most of them. I've seen a few 'celebs' but in there they are treated like everyone else so its no big deal.
Members Club my arse!
I go to BLC twice a week and i pay nothing, no table, no £10 contribution to charity as you guys sometimes request, and no status inflatting career boasts at the door. I'm just well connected in London Clubland and I make sure i always look the part. So save the excuses this time.
my my my,
the owner tony has gone very quiet lately.
it seems there are many, many people not happy with the service at BLC.
and to be asking 2000 quid for a table of four, shows just what a rip off this place is.
I tried to go the BCL last night. All the bouncer was rude and becouse of the long q they started to have a deal with 1 to 1.Question: How much would you like to spend?Answer: 2000All right, i gonna ask we have a table or not.
The bouncer came outside and said: We dont have table but you can come for £2000 for 4 of you.
The owner? He was there last night. When i mantioned that 2 weeks ago i ve spend apprx £2800 for a table and now i cannot go in he said sorry. This is a member club. That is the policy of the Mayfair Club @Bond Street.
I don’t think you should still be demanding for big spends on tables at 4am, when you know full well these punters have spent upwards of £1000 already at Maddox, Jalouse, Movida, Maya, Cuckoo, Boujis, Whisky Mist etc…
I understand the climate in that everyone wants to get into BLC as you’re pretty much the only ones with a late licence, so you decide to make your door extra tough, but the heavy security really isn’t necessary.
Just let people in who look the part and don’t force £200 p/head spends. The Mayfair club has come along with also a 6am licence yet they never seem to get the same squabbles as you guys do on these forums. There are no celebs, but who really goes out looking for celebs?
That’s quite sad if you ask me. The only ones who do I guess are the wannabes. Just be yourself in these clubs and have full, we’re all successful or good looking and that’s why we are in these clubs.
I’ll give credit to the cliental at BLC, it’s very multicultural. The women are beautiful and the men are usually older and yes I have to say sleazy looking, And I really like the homely minimal décor.
hahaaahaaa....my my my what alot of fuss!! think i need to get myself down to BLC and party!! last time i went there i had a blast!!love the comment from sarah, who apparently "goes out clubbing alot in london......places like bijou....?!?!" is it me, but iv never heard of that club before?! must be really new! however, iv heard of a club called boujis though....great place. (o:
I have been to BLC several times. On each occasion it was late i.e after 1am. So firstly it was fantastic to have a quality club stay open after the hours of 3am.
The door did have security presence but they have been very polite in both the times I have been in and when i have not been in. Once inside i did not see masses of football celebrities and wannabe wags. Instead from what i gather there was a variety of people with a diverse background and been in London that's what you expect.
Above all you have fun at BLC when you enjoy yourself and worry less about looking around to spot the odd celeb or measure how well this club does against other so called members clubs.
my honest opinion is BLC stands alone with its own unique character and as one may say not every one can spot a real character. I would recommend this place and advice you make every to to enjoy yourself once inside bec really thats all there is to do!A.
hi,
i am a girl who goes out clubbing a lot in london. i agree with the guys here.
BLC is expensive and doesnt have VIPs or celebs, just loads of sleazy guys who think they are.
you are much better going to places like mahiki and bijou etc.
BLC should be renamed BWC. British wannabe club
share the love,
sarah x
