My boyfriend and I stopped in here for a drink on the way home from work. I have to say that the decor is impressive, but that's about it as far as good impressions go. We'd thought we might book a table for dinner at the weekend and wanted to check it out first.

We ordered coacktails, which were not cheap at £8 a go. Anyway, what we took to be the owner / manager rudely informed my boyfriend that they couldn't make the drink he ordered, and when my Boody Mary arrived, all I can describe it as was watery tomato vodka. Disguisting!

The waiting staff, who insisted on bringing them over and charging us 12.5% service change for the privelege, were nothing short of rude. We then had to wait around 15 mins till we could find someone to pay.

Needless to say we didnt book a table for dinner which is a shame. You'd think that a local place would make more of an effort.

I found The Bull on View London and rang up to check they really were non smoking, as I had to go somewhere non smoking as I was recovering from an operation, saying I was coming that evening. I then rang up again to find out whether they served Magners, again stating I was coming that evening.

When we got there they tolf us there was a private function in the bar and that the restaurant was fully booked. I asked why no-one had mentioned this on the phone and the manager quite rudely told me I should have booked. I would have booked had I been told this was necessary, or wouldn't have come if I'd been told there was a private function on.

What The Bull manager should have done was apologise that no-one had mentioned this on the phone and for the inconvenience caused, instead of being rude and condescending. I don't like people being rude so I wouldn't go there again even if I did book.

I went to The Bull recently in Highgate and found the waiting staff rude and arrogant. The fish I ordered arrived raw in the middle and when I complained there was no apology. Don't waste your money at The Bull, head to St Johns in Archway, or the Rose and Crown in Highgate Village.

I went to The Bull recently and found it a little disappointing on the pub side, it’s really just a restaurant and why they have to be called a gastro pub I have no idea. The Bull served some amazing food though, the crab tortellini is out of this world!
