Fantastic place, go to The Butcher and Grill a lot for lunch and absolutely love it. Always a huge selection of salads, lasagne and other dishes to choose from. And as for the brownies. Absolutely amazing. Best brownies I think I have ever had!

Great local place, but well worth making a journey for. Fantastic wine list and an extensive menu, the steaks are wonderful - we were told by one of the waiters all about the award-winning farm that supplies a lot of the meat here. Not just for meat-eaters though, one of our party had a great seafood stew and there are also lots of salads and sharing platters also. The staff were warm, frindly and efficient. There is also a great deli/shop, packed with all sorts of goodies.

Main problem with this place is it is very over priced. 4 of us had a starter each and then a steak, sharing 2 bottles of wine - the bill came to £230! This place is simply not worth that kind of money. Starter were nice but not mind blowing. Steaks were good - but you would expect that at around £20 each (and that doesn't include sides). Worst thing was the service - meal took 3 hours eventually due to poor/slow waiters. I would hate to see how they struggle if the restaurant was full. Summed up when one of the waiters managed to snap the cork in half with our wine and attempted to pour it in our glasses with half of it floating around in the bottle. You can eat much better and cheaper else where in london than this!

Everything about The Butcher and Grill was good starting with ordering table on Friday night to dining in with our lovely 14 month old son! I was particularly pleased with French - Australian stuff; they made my evening being super nice and simple (which is rare in London)! Food and interior done up to a high standard, very smart and cool. Good vine list (not too fancy, but good choice) and nice view to an old barge and canal. I would recommend it in any way!

I cannot recommend the Butcher & Grill strongly enough. Went there on Saturday night and the service was warm and friendly, the food top notch and the bill staggeringly small compared to the amount of food we had.

The Butcher & Grill is a refreshing change in a sea of overpriced restaurants of dubious quality. The fact that you can eat your meal and then buy meat from the butchers to take home with you is a nice touch too. This restaurant was worth the journey across London. Top marks!

The Butcher & Grill is a refreshing change from all the veggie places that seem to have been opening lately. Their gorgeous cuts of meats can be taken from the shop and cooked directly in the kitchen. Great idea, Butcher & Grill!
