We were very disappointed by our 8GBP fish soup which was served in a massive bowl that only just covered the spoon. When we asked for more the floor manager came over and told us that it was exactly 250ml of soup, and that I could have it in a smaller bowl if I wanted it. The manager then placed a girl with a bony tail so close to our table so that her hair dipped into our food and I had to rescue her from ruining her dress and my jacket. Anyways, the manager did nothing to ameliorate the situation and I would never return to this place.

I dined here early on a Sunday evening. It was a mixed experience.

We arrived at 5.15pm to be told that the kitchen was closed until 6pm - although people were eating. We were given menus by a waitress / hostess anyway, but then a very surly waiter came to our table and said we couldn't order food until 6pm and took the menus away, even though the wine list was on the back. He then returned with the menus after a more senior looking waitress told him to take them back. He clearly had an attitude problem and did not get any concept of customer service, as he then removed the cutlery and glasses from the table even though he knew we would be ordering food shortly, saying "it looks better that way".

Thankfully he went off duty shortly after that and we were served by two very friendly waiters. The food was good quality and portions were generous, so that made up for the earlier lack of service. But, I would say, get rid of rude waiting staff with attitude - if they don't like waiting tables, get another job!

I came to The Electric Brasserie on Boxing day with my family to enjoy a post Xmas reunion. Unfortunately it ended up ruining the whole day. We were told we had the last table only to find the lower restaurant empty aside from one other table. The starters which were tiny and tasteless and the mains were no better.

My Shepherds pie was nothing better than a school dinner and even the beans on the side were stuck together and cold. My partners steak was overcooked and tasted so bad we sent it back only to be told by the waitress that it was 'aged' meat!? Even my mother who ordered a simple prawn sandwich had complaints.

We didn't stop for desserts or coffee and I'm glad as the bill took my breath away. I had to stand and shout to get any attention and the girl who brought our bill looked suspiciously sheepish as if she was well aware of how terrible the whole thing was. In a word, The Electric Brasserie is revolting.

Electric Brasserie is an excellent bar with good service, always busy and music's good. Portions at Electric Brasserie could be larger and include some extras like bread/olives up front but overall I would recommend it.

I never write reviews, but read the last person's review having visited The Electric Brasserie for lunch today.

If anything negative had to be said, it was that the food was on the cold side, not hot like they say. The main waiter was excellent though and our waitress did look like a Bond villian with amazing dark eyes and white teeth.

I did only have a burger, and sat near the window which was great for people watching. I liked The Electric Brasserie quite a lot for a Friday lunch in Notting Hill. Nice, clean and friendly, with a small number of lone diners in there, and not intimidating in any way.

If not the best place in the city The Electric Brasserie was definitely not overtly trying too hard. Lovely waiter.

The Electric Brasserie has barely adequate food served by scarey looking waitresses who wouldn't look out of place as Bond villains. Given the choice would offer no more then 1% towards service charge instead of the mandatory 12.5%.

My dish of Duck Cottage Pie was served at a temperature hotter than the sun and by the time the rest of our dinner party had finished their meals I was still blowing frantically on my second mouthful!
In short, there's a lot better out there.

Very popular spot for a Sunday brunch, the Electric Brasserie - located next door to Portobello Road's Electric Cinema - offers some of the best easy-eating food in London.

With typical brasserie fare such as eggs Benedict and steak sandwiches you can do a lot worse than pop in here after a potter round the market. Highly recommended.
