The gay manager of this pub chucked me and my date out for kissing. Its a great pub but can someone inform the reality challenged manager that he works at a straight pub - ie. heterosexual people present who might be attracted to each other. It appears we didn't offend anybody but him. Cheers

Excellent show from Bonfanti-Milner Sunday afternoon and some interesting, locally brewed beers – Sambrooks Wandle, Redemption PA & Dark and Twickenham Naked Ladies.
Interesting write up from Kelly – correction: Geronimo Inns is a small pubco (less than 30 pubs) and they bought it (and a number of other pubs) from Punch Taverns, the largest pubco in the UK.

very friendly staff and a great manager that knows how to combine the right balance of service, friendliness and leaving you in peace. good atmosphere and good pub fare food.

The Elgin is one of the few Bars in London where you can see what you get before going there; they have two live Web Cameras! Go see "The Crowd" camera, pointed at the Bar, it's at www.the-elgin.com. Is it too busy, crowded or quiet? The second camera is called the "Hello World Table" - book the table and share your evening with friends and family on the Internet.
Open from 9am, the Elgin boasts Free Wireless Internet Access for Laptops with no shortage of tables and power sockets and, for those without a laptop; there is a Web Station available for customers.
The food at The Elgin is terrific, the Penne Paste and Salads have to be tasted to be believed. Moreover, the homemade burgers are so big; you do need a knife and fork! I eat there far too often!
Service is excellent, no waiting to be served, moreover, the staff are incredibly friendly and will serve you at the table.

I must agree with Simon Tyler's review - The Elgin is not only a great pub by itself but it's packed with an excellent cross section of folk. It's always nice to see that somewhere!
