An ideal meeting place in the heart of Covent Garden, particulary if you're not impressed with top-end cocktail bars and poncy restaurants. The Essex Serpent is a traditional English pub with a charming restaurant on the top floor and 2 bars below that attract a friendly drinking crowd. The staff are all well trained and efficient which adds to the pleasure of this well-kept retreat.
