The Fiddler's Elbow in Camden / Kentish Town has to be one of London's best kept secret hidden gems. Amazing sound (as a performer) and brilliant fun as a punter. If you're in a new band looking for gigs in London / Camden, then this should be at the top of your wish list!
The Elbow is a brilliant venue if its good music and decent beer you're looking for. The pub has a great in house PA and a sound engineer who knows how to work it. Dan the landlord loves his music and looks after the bands - gig pays a proportion of ticket price based on the number of people you bring. Easy to get £3 or £4 back from the £5 entry price - that's much better than most.
Excellent night out for musicians and punters alike - highly recommended.
Fantastic pub! have been twice now for live music and both times have been great. Door price was more than fair (£5 for 5 bands amazing bands!!), drink prices are great for London, staff are lovely and the atmosphere is all round brilliant. Will visit this pub everytime I am in London!
Great stage, perfect rig setup, played 2 amazing shows here and seen some unbelievable artists perform, amazing staff and sound crew, cant wait to come back ,xxxxxxxxx
I had a great time at the Fiddlers Elbow on Saturday from 2 perspectives;
1. I played a set with my band and thoroughly enjoyed it - they've got a good sized stage, enough lights to set the mood, a decent PA system and a conscientious engineer who did a great job.
2. I watched the band on after us and had a great night as a customer of the venue too. As I already mentioned the place has a nice lay out and good sound, but also friendly staff and good atmosphere all round.
Highly reccomended for a good night out, just wish it was in Norwich so I could enjoy it more often!
Myself and three friends stumbled across this pub on Saturday after noticing a poster saying Lee Ryder would be playing,we paid our £5 and didn't know what to expect..surprised would be an understatement ! The pub was a first class music venue with superb respectful staff and a friendly atmosphere and great beer at a sensible price.Having not seen The Lee Ryder Band before but heard lots about them..I was shell shocked ..this band were the BEST outfit I have ever seen and Lee Ryder was way better than I was told ,what a blues guitarist and singer he is I would have gladly paid £50 instead of £5 to see them ! I will be a regular at the Elbow every time this band plays there,and have heard they will be there regularily, what a band ! What a venue! Looks like ive got a second home ! GET DOWN THERE NEXT TIME THEIR ON !!
A brilliant live music venue with loads of different genres of music most nights of the week.
It has a great magical feel from the old days when music venues were proper music venues. A hugely undiscovered gem!
Its only a matter of time before an unsigned band that has played there makes the big time.
With alot of venues shutting or shut down, this has to be the one that keeps music live for north London. Well done The Fiddlers!!
The Fiddlers Elbow is a good place for chilling on a Sunday with the jazz. A nice pint and some good tunes - what more can a man ask for? The Fiddlers Elbow does it right.
