Forget the shocking reviews from years ago, the florence has changed hands!! with new decor and really nice and friendly staff... The soft colours & lighting, comfy sofa's, flowers on the tables and some quirky features like a stuffed owl overlooking the bar, all make you want to lounge in there for hours! they've also got a great selection of delicious snacks and also meals, with organic veg. and even options for vegans. I'm considering having my next birthday party in their function room upstairs and am going to try to persuade my work to have their christmas dinner there. I recommend you check it out soon before it gets really busy as I'm sure it will...

A shocking venue! While the pub itself might look nice, the staff is constantly rude and drunk and seemingly only interested in getting free booze to their close friends (all residents of the local council estates). I was just assulted by a manager there after I asked her to turn down the music. She was clearly drunk and ended up pushing me down the pub and pulled my hair. The general manager, or her boyfriend, may have talked to her but there was no apology or anything. We used to come to this pub for the Thai food, but for personal safety reasons we'd rather not anymore. Vile pub!

what an awful place, the staff were useless and seemed to be too much trouble for islington,
selection of drinks were poor and prices were high, didnt feel welcome and would not go back again, if you do go make sure you stay away from the bully owners
