This place is let down by its arrogant, ignorant staff. The Fox and Hounds charges extortionate rates for drinks and all you get is attitude from the South African staff. There used to be an Irish bar manager who knew how to look after his customers, but he's gone and instead there's a monosyllabic idiot clearly making a balls up. The music they have is far too loud, maybe they're trying to make up for what the place lacks in customer service with music volume. Like the other reviewers with sense say - go over the road to the Railway (pints are AT LEAST £1 cheaper) and the staff at least know how to treat customers with a basic level of human respect.
Quite a rant - I used to love the place but the Fox and Hounds has slumped dramatically since the management changed.
