Superb!

I heard great things about their frozen chicken pie, and i wasn't disappointed! It was ice cold and delicious.

My friend ordered a wrap without tomatoes, and it came WITH tomatoes. Bonus! What a result. Free tomatoes! Excellent.

It was so good that I didn't want to leave, and I actually couldn't in the end as my bum was stuck to the chair with chewing gum.

A real treat. If only I could give 6 stars, alas I cannot.

Highly recommended.

I had my 30th birthday there last weekend. Its a decent place to hire out if you have enough people. The minimum bar spend is easy to hit as its so expensive. Left on a sour note though - they wont open beyond 12 despite prior promises and I also got mugged off a large bottle of champagne I left in the fridge which I was apparently been given on leaving. Not true. Probably quaffed by the grumpy bar staff (get that way gradually through the night) after lobbing us out early.

Very poor.Went to for a Sunday lunch. All pre booked large party 6/12/2009.We had ordered a week before a roast dinner. Large plate with medium size helping of hard beef. Very small helping of potatoes and veg. All poor quality. Followed by predictable chocolate cake.IT WAS ROBBERY.No one should go again. As I am writing this I am getting angry again. Party were low paid group to whom it was a great disappointment. They didn't even turn the heating up when we said we were cold!CLOSE IT DOWN.

I Went to the Gate Last Thursday evening and was pleasantly surpriced to see they had a DJ on he was brill. It was very busy but the bar staff seemed to have it under control. I did have to wait at the bar once or twice but understandable as they were very busy.Keep the good work up!!!!

Terrible! Went for lunch. This used to be a good pub, not sure what has happened to it. Had to wait well over an hour for our lunches. They had no pinot grigio, only had one barman who was dealing with the drinks at the bar as well as serving food. He looked as if had just got out of bed. Won't be returning.
