Visited the Globe on Boxing day, not to many people in the pub however was made very welcome with a smile by the bar staff and a good chat with the new Landlord, nice pint, and the pub stopped open unlike the surounding pubs that closed at about 6 pm, will call again next time i visit London, thanks very much

The Globe Tavern...I recently enjoyed a sunny day with my wife and children in the borough market and wandered into this pub for drink.

We had a great afternoon there, the staff where very nice (especially with my kids running about the place), the place is full of history, bridget jones movies where film there and the building looks stunning.

I was talking to the manager and he told me the place is getting a refurbishment very soon (a full new floor upstairs) and they will be reopening the kitchen and introducing a brand borough market menu.

Recommended if you visit the area. I definitely will be back.JH

Has anyone actually been to the Globe? It always seems very empty whenever I'm in the area. Perhaps they all run out the Globe back door when I come round?
