What a superb live music venue! We just moved to Herne Hill and this place was a real pleasant surprise to find. Just looks like a normal local pub from the outside, but inside they've got probably one of the best music venue setups I've seen in London. Could easily fit a couple of hundred people in there and the PA speakers sounded amazing. Neat light show too. Loved the laser! We were there on a Friday night and the quality of bands was top notch and surprisingly eclectic. We saw an excellent Trip Hop band from Bristol and a wicked Funk band fronted by 2 rappers. Some great Drum & Bass from the DJ afterwards too. A most unexpected and fantastic find. Glad we moved from boring Balham!

The Half Moon Pub is a cool pub. Quite hard locals but everyone is dead friendly. They have a good range of beers. The Half Moon Pub is your classic London boozer. Nice one.
