The ViewLondon Review
It looks recently refurbished. It's in good knick. The Hammersmith Ram is a winning neighbourhood local.
The Venue
The Hammersmith Ram has cosy old pub charm. It's hard to say whether it's old and in really good condition, or whether some designer has given it the ye olde pub special decor treatment. Either way, it has charm. The interior is made up of a long rectangular room with a split bar and lots of seating - all of which will be occupied on busy evenings, especially at weekends.
The Atmosphere
Fresh flowers on the bar and genuinely friendly bar staff indicate management are really making an effort. And it pays off. There are loads of snug corners and it is clean and well-cared for. They do play occasional cheesy music like Michael Jackson's greatest hits, but you can’t hold that against them. The patrons tend to be a merry bunch, out to enjoy themselves.
The Food
The menu at The Hammersmith Ram is a rather basic pub menu - you could recite it off by heart with burgers and the lot.
The Drink
The Hammersmith Ram proudly serves Youngs and Youngs Special Bitter. Also Bombardier and Red Stripe. They have 15 different options of wines by the glass or bottle. The prices are really good, which is all the more reason for the crowd to celebrate.
The Last Word
The Hammersmith Ram has charm, as do the staff. A winning, warm, local pub in Hammersmith.
