What a terrible place!
The bar staff treat it like their own personal club serving friends over people who have actually waited, when they can actually be bothered to serve.
Worse than this they offer no control of customers allowing them to threaten other customers for no reason then saying "I can't do anything when he's drunk."
How this place has a license I'll never know and why people go there I'll never understand.

One word for The Hayfield...rude! Girls, unless you are willing to be chatted up by the rude bar staff and their 'friends' do not go to The Hayfield. I wanted to enjoy a drink in what's known as a 'bar with a friendly student vibe', only to be confronted with unpleasantries from local males demanding that I pursue their advances. When I gracefully declined, I was ushered out by what can only be described as the most abnoxious and unprofessional 'bouncers' in London. Not just as a female, but as a person I felt victimised and threatened. The Hayfield is NOT your typical welcoming pub, at least not at night anyway!

The Hayfield is normally a good place to go drinking after uni - providing you do not need the assistance of their security staff (I am not sure exactly what to call them). A fight broke out between two groups - I intervened to stop the fight between two guys. The door men did nothing and were basically very unprofessional and thought it amusing that drunk guys were screaming at a female in their pub. Very disappointing and like I say unprofessional behaviour from The Hayfield.
