The Hungerford arms pub-its the best pub in London for the local people who is really good and friendly!Its very old pub,but how many pubs like this now left?400 years old.We love Hungerford because its like our big family.Most of the customers its locals which know each other and they are good friends!But we always happy to see here strangers!;) Welcome! I would agree with the first reviewer. This is a scary pub and I would not wish to be there alone particulalry after benefit cheque cashing day. We went there for a few pints before hitting the Lahore Kebab restaurant (great) as it seemed to be the nearest pub. We felt we were in the mid west and the banjos would be coming out soon. Care do not sit on the seats; they have stains that you do not want to think about! Upside is cheap beer so might go there again and take my marigolds!

The Hungerford arms is one of the most sociable pubs you will find in London. At first glance it seems a little grotty, but if you stay long enough and meet the customers and the staff you will see it has the warmest most welcoming atmosphere you could ask for in a pub, more welcoming then the trendy, steel cold bars of central London where nobody would notice if you dropped down dead. So to the person who rudely said this is the worst pub they have been to, I ask you next time you come into The Hungerford Arms, stay long enough to get to know the people of The Hungerford and dont just dismiss it because it isn't up to your standards.

The Hungerford Arms is the worst pub I have ever had to go in, I thought I was going to get attacked before I reached the bar. The Hungerford Arms is, in my opinion, full of scumbags.
