A traditional pub with wood panelled bar, open fires, large wood panelled function room with mirror covered walls, stage, bar, sound system (power amp + speakers and lighting). Free to hire for commercial gigs or private parties. I have attended great cabaret style events here from rock, folk, poetry and comedy. "Pull The Other One" comedy shows were of outstanding quality (returning in September '08 with Arthur Smith headlining). Edinburgh Preview night hosted by Terry the Standup was described by audience members as far superior and far cheaper than a recent visit to Jongleurs. And the bar prices are amongst the cheapest around. Games room has two pool tables.

The Ivy House is a great pub. On select Sundays at The Ivy House a cabaret event called Pipe and Slippers takes over the enormous Victorian theatre at the back of the pub.

Just to say there is live music, lots of local bands play gigs, and live music on some weekdaysat The Ivy House.
