Love the food well worth the money. will be going there tomorrow. gonna take one of my friends with me, been there a few times. When i feel like a traditional sunday roast.
In March 2009, I was staying at the small, family-owned hotel across the road, City Stay (nice, quiet, inexpensive place with a cook-in kitchen for all to use). Each night, I went to The Little Driver for a pint or two after a long day touring the city. The staff was to a man and woman kind and friendly. The beer was delicious (though I prefer the cellar temp Guinness to the chilled or to their Real Ale). Didn't eat the food, so can't comment, but I'm looking forward to my return visit with my wife (I was alone on this journey) to share with her my little discovery.
This pub is a true hidden gem, last night we had a warm goat’s cheese salad and a home-made beef burger.
I can believe anyone would complain about a local pub where you can get two fantastic meals for £6-odd each.
The beer is a few pence more expensive than other pubs, but when you get an amazing beer garden, lovely staff and truly amazing food who'd complain!?!
My boyfriend said the Real Ale is very good (for London) typical northerner)) ... We're new to Bow and I've already recommended the Little Driver the couple in the flat next to us.
Keep up the good work guy's ... oh and one vey small complaint, the ladies loo needs re-painting!Jackie P
I recently went to the little Driver with a few friends in tow, I ordered some food and after waiting some time for my cold goo I kindly complained that this was too cold for my pallet, to which the lady kindly shouted at me if I don't like it, I could leave.
She had a face like thunder and was extremly rude.Staff seemed gormlessIf you want terrible food, bad service and an even worse attitude, this is the place for you.
I am very keen to know what other goers make of this run down bar. I for one will never visit again
Went to The Little Driver a few Sundays ago, had really relaxing good, honest Sunday roast - beef cooked to perfection. Loved the atmosphere - especially the beautiful chandalers and rose petaled toilet seats! Staff all friednly and helpful - good selection of wines. Shame no children allowed - but this is nice some times! Will go back again in summer to go and sit in amazing garden area - all decked with booths - you could forget you're in the East End. Well worth visit.
