I went to The living room for the first time the other week for my 30th! The food and cocktails were absolutly amazing... The service that we received was just as amazing! Everyone there played a part in making it an unforgettable evening, thank you so much!

Having read good reviews of this restaurant, I went with full confidence for my birthday. I feel it necessary to warn all possible future patrons that we recurrently saw a mouse running around the restaurant. Upon complaining, we were reassured by the manager that they are actually not unhygienic. It was an unpleasant experience, and I would not return there. If mice are considered hygienic, I dread to think how the kitchen is kept.

Most of the finest restaurants and hotels have cockroaches and mice somewhere. If you know any waiters or staff they will tell you this. As for the mice not being unhygenic, well what would you expect the manager to say.It reminds me of a visitors trip to a kaolin clay mine in Cornwall where they didnt supply masks to the workers or visitors despite the choking dust in the air.The manager who was leading the party said it was okay as they made medicine out of kaolin
I was thinking of going to this place and it looks nice so I only hope the drinks prices are not too exorbitant. The food is probably out of my price range so I am not worried about the resident rodents

Love this place.
Stylish, swanky, smooth. Ideal located just off Regent street, Nice atmosphere, great cocktails.
Little bit on pricey side but well worth it, staff are attentive and friendly and happy to help.
Live music is a nice touch with the live piano and singer and sets off mood well.
Down side is that it can get busy at the bar and you may be jostling for elbow room and somewhere to sit.
Oh and don't be confused by the bathrooms downstairs, although small you'll work it out!!

An extraordinary experience at the Living Room.

We had drinks and then moved upstairs for some food.

Sat having dinner and noticed a MOUSE running around the restaurant - we alerted the waiter but responded as though it was part of the furniture and a regular occurrence. We were left gob-smacked.

I wouldn't recommend you visit here for the food as clearly cleanliness etc is under doubt due to the rodents running around.

Good place for a drink tho' as just off Regent St and easy to meet friends etc.

Visited The Living Room W1 with my boyfriend on a Saturday night, we decided to come here after visting the Oxford one on a long weekend at the beginning of the year, we were so impressed that when we saw there was one in London (closer to home) we just had to go!!
What an amazing night! the staff were so lovely and couldn't do enough for you but without interrupting every 5 minutes like some restaurants.
The food was outstanding!! even better than the Oxford one and the portion sizes were very generous. It isnt too expensive but the quality is worth every penny!!
The atmosphere was buzzing, all you could hear was laughter from all the big groups surrounding us and as the night went on there was plenty of people dancing and just enjoying the music and cocktails!!
The live music was fantastic!! such a great place, i fail to see how anyone could dislike this restaurant!? im just waiting for another excuse to go back there!!

My friends and I booked the Living room for a night out and our entire experience was amazing.

The food was lovely, the cocktails better and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The live music was great, and really added to our experience.

The only thing I would advise that if you are after a quiet meal at the weekends request a table upstairs as it can get very noisy downstairs due to the popularity of the bar.

While not an overly exciting place to have a Sunday lunch, it wasn't bad either. The place was pretty empty, especially inside, so outdoor lunching was available.

Mind, being in a small road behind Regent Street meant that there wasn't actually much to look at (not the best place for people-watching).

Food was good, not badly priced, nothing to write home about. Staff were attentive and maybe a little blase; but that was kinda good as it made for a more comfortable environment.

What I found quite odd was that, wanting one of their raw juices drink, they told me that they had run out of carrots. At 12:30pm. On a Sunday.

I was certain that there was a Tesco not far from the place, so it wouldn't have been too hard for them to run down and get a couple.

Otherwise, it's a nice place to be for a small group of friends for lunch. No idea about night-time life, though.
