It's a shame all the McCaan's employee plague this place on week days. It could be a nice, local's bar but the Advertising commuters spoil it.
The most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat on! No atmosphere whatsoever in this place.
I find this place incredibly pretentious.
The food is decent but nothing special and it reaches your table whenever the staff can be bothered.
Drinks are not cheap and the house wine is quite poor quality and awful. And the staff can be really rude!
My friend got offended by this chinese evil looking guy, claiming he was the manager (and he was not) just because he complained about having mud in his glass (since they pour until the last drop..)
Anyway, in the area you can find better, cheaper and more polite!
Could be very nice – great location, lovely trad-pub interior, friendly staff. Clearly something is rotten in the the state of pub management, however. We had an arduous time waiting an hour for food only for it to turn up piping cold, and some of it not turn up at all. This despite the fact it was relatively quiet, and we had booked in advance. Any numpty knows that you can't run a bar and kitchen on a Saturday night in central London with two staff smeared between them. Unfortunately it appears that the Marquis of Cornwallis, whomever he might be, has reached new lengths of numptydom. Avoid like an over-friendly leper.
