Had a great time at the Marquis on Saturday 11th 2012. Very friendly staff, courteous & polite. Had a lunch time specials, food was excellent. I just wanted something that was not a Pret or Starbucks, and wasn't disappointed. My wife loved it as well and would defiantly recommend it for couples and teenage families.

This is a great bar. I work nearby so it has become my local. The staff are tops and they have a really good selection of beers. This place always makes for a good night out

Visited on Saturday 31st July 6.30ish. Don't bother going with a baby. Was refused a seat upstairs when downstairs was full(upstairs practically empty!) just because we weren't dining! Very unhelpful waitress upstairs who would not offer any advise to very tired breastfeeding mother of alternative places in the close vicinity to try. Very baby unfriendly! :-(

I had lunch here two days last week and it was truly exceptional - food and service is very very good - plus the house wine was totally drinkable and not sharp like some house wines. Would recommend 100%, it makes a nice change from pasta and tapas and is very reasonably priced, good value for money. Well done and keep up the good work.
