In summer months they play loud music. Can be heard from over .5km away. The pub is not unknown to police as they seem to be there often. Please join our petition to have this pub closed as it has no consideration about the locals.

I felt like I was on the league of gentlemen (BBC show) in The Mawbey Arms. Been here once and will never go back again. Bar was full of over 50 year old men. Over heard locals telling each other racist jokes. Smelt of urine and tobacco throughout, had signs of rising damp with paint peeling off the walls. Staff where rude and service was slow. Terrible hygiene standards too. We didn't stay for food after seeing the landlord scratch his ass.

The Mawbey Arms is a good place to unwind with a beer and watch a bit of sport on Sky. We had no problems with the bar staff, they were friendly enough and kept the drinks flowing.
The Mawbey Arms is pretty much your standard local pub with a good atmosphere to relax in.
