Totally crap and I've been in some crap bars in my time! Bar staff and door staff rude in the extreme. Avoid at all costs.

The Merchant is one of the worse bars I have ever been to in my life. I arrived at around 5pm on a Sunday to be told not only do they not have any more roasts but infact half of the menu (no exaggeration) was now not available. The staff were extremely rude and obnoxious. I wouldn't step back in the bar if you paid me!!

Nice enough pub, plenty of space but I won't be returning due to shady staff members.

I got short changed a pound by a young chap on my first round which i didn't think anything of. Then my friend went up for a large round and he told me the barmaid short changed him by £3! Then it happened again! we were only there 3 hours.

I dont really like being stolen from on a night out!

Love it here the best is they do a fab sunday roast all day. House wine in the ceraff is also great. Relaxed atmosphere and staff attentive without being over the top. Would definatly recommend it here.
