Really believe this is one of the best pubs in London.
The staff are friendly and unpretentious, the decor is perfect and they have a great selection of ales and stout. The jukebox is flawless and the entertainment is perfect for the setting.
Other landlords should come here to learn how to run the perfect pub.

I pitched up here with my daughter who attends goldsmiths as she thought its quirky style would appeal to my slightly offbeat and old fashioned taste. She was right.

I cannot improve on the description of the pub on this website and am happy to fully endorse its contents. Give the place a try - you'll surely enjoy it.

The Montague Arms is a little goldmine - the food on a Sunday makes a visit definitely worthwhile and really sorts your hangover out. If you're new to New Cross, or you haven't tried the Montague yet then give it a go as it's our favourite place at the moment. And we're the judges of all that is great.

The Montague Arms is a great pub. I've been drinking there for a while now and it's always a brilliant place to sink a few beers. The food's pretty good too - it keeps the wife happy and she can be a right moaner. If I ever want to placate the young lady then I take her to the Montague Arms for some fodder. She always leaves happy!
