Omg what a transformation. We went to the re-launch 2 weeks ago and was taken aback by how different the place looks and feels. We have been back several times since and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly the atmosphere is fantastic and the new menu is a vast improvement from there old one( I do believe there is a new chef involved). We are happy to be regulars there and hope to call The Normanby our local for a long time to come! Well done guys!

I went to the Normanby for brunch one after passing by a few times and thinking it looked like a great pub.

The brunch was a disaster. Not only did the food come out cold, but as soon as I cut into my egg, half the plate filled with water (we think they just reheated a pre-cooked egg. Yuck.)

Would not return.

Had a great afternoon (then evening) at this bar I had never been to before but walked past. A few of us girlie's went to watch the other halves kick a ball about in a park in an attempt to be a) sporty b) attractive c) manly... yup, nice.

After a couple of minutes our thoughts turned to wine and we wandered across the road to try the Normanby. It was such a pleasant experience that I felt I had to share my joy. We sat in the outside garden, enjoying the sun and drinking some really lovely wine (working our way through the menu)

We were soon joined by our man-folk who thought they had entered some sort of haven, devouring the amazing burgers, watching the sky sports, playing pool..... we had such a great time that it has now become our regular - well done new owners!

visited the Normanby last weekend for the first time in ages. We'd been on the park so was the nearest place for a pint. It had changed quite a lot since i last visited - much more relaxed and less 'restauranty' than when i went before. Nice staff, good drinks, sky tv, we didn;t eat but saw plenty of food coming out. We had a game of pool and the manager was playing some great tunes for a Saturday afternoon, right up my street - i'll be coming by more often from now on. good work!

I went there to watch the Europa final the atmosphere was fantastic so much so I booked tables for all England world cup games and on doing so was informed that I would receive full table service for these games! Outstanding! I had a burger which was delightful and the staff were all really friendly and professional. Will definitely be going back there again!

What a great pub - pool table, Sky Sports, table football...

really good atmosphere for the big matches - atmospheric without being over-crowded.

Great cajun chicken burgers...

The Normanby is great! - have been a few times recently, it seems to have changed since when it opened.

The food is still lovely and the staff are easily the nicest in Putney but it is more relaxed and much busier than it used to be.

Def worth a look in after a laze in the park - i got a free jug of pimms last time i went?!??!?

I was at the Normanby on Saturday night for a catch up with friends over dinner and a few drinks, but after reading some poor reviews on the restaurant I was a little nervous and reluctant to go.
I was more than pleasantly suprised and impressed with the fantastic and efficient service from all the staff and the quality of the food and drinks. (cocktails need a little work) but everything else was fantastic even the coffee at 11pm at night!
Putney needed a place like this, so dont right it off on the other reviews.... I will definately be back.

Completely disapointed! Went for Brunch with 4 friends, took 20 minutes for drinks to come, got moved off our table for "more important" guests, brunch arrived (cold) after an hour of waiting. The service is appauling and I wouldn't recomend to anyone.

Truly poor service (exceptionally slow service & argumentative manager) mixed with very average food has thankfully become a bit of a rare thing... but hey, then there's Normandy!

The manager overheard us commenting on how slow the service was and came to apologise as they were extremely busy. They must do take-away as the dining room was mostly empty.

The medium rare steak of one of our party was charred. The manager, straight out of the Faulty Tower School of Catering, cut the steak over our friend's shoulder, thought that it was perfectly cooked and then proceeded to show the meat to other guests to get their opinion. No answers... Awkward... and embarrassing... He was happy to make another one but it would come out exactly the same way. It soon became too tense for comfort and the manager walked away from our table. And so we walked away from his restaurant. Shocked that places like this still exists."
