Cheers guys for a wonderful NYE bash, it was nice to see in the new year without all the madness but still in a joyfull and exciting atmosphere. Looked like we wern't the only ones who enjoyed it either (north pole staff)
As a local who has watched this pub go from one incarnation to the next, I have to say they have got it about right now. The staff are friendly, the beer and wine range is getting better and the food is out of this world for such an unpretentious pub.
We went went there for Christmas lunch, something we won't normally do due to the cost when there are four of you eating, but where else in London did a credit crunch deal of £25 for 3 courses? Best of all they didn't skimp on the portions or the usual high quality, in fact it was the moistest turkey I have ever had, totally melt in the mouth.
The only downside was having to leave so the staff could clear up after we all got settled after coffee and brandy on the sofas.
If you haven't tried this place yet, I recommend you do before everyone else discovers it.
The North Pole is back!!!
Newly refurbished as an independent it remains the place to be in North Kensington.
Great food offer with daily specials, imported bottle beers and fantastic wine range.
With in minutes of BBC and local music studios it has an eclectic mix of creative and local residents.
The quiz is back on monday nights with more events to come......
What you see now is only the tip of the iceberg of things to come!!!
This one's not melting yet don't worry. The North Pole is a lovely little gem for Kensington - homely, delicious and with excellent service. This is the kind of place that you want to return to because firstly it's lovely, but secondly it deserves to do well. Help stop global warming and make sure The North Pole doesn't go under!
Its called the North Pole and its on North Pole street, I was half expecting to come out at the end of the night and be in the North Pole.
The North Pole has an atmosphere as cold as the name would suggest. It's a bizarre location for a pub like this. The beer is overpriced and there are slim pickings from the menu. If you live or work near the North Pole, you've probably been there, and if you don't do so, then you never have a reason to!
