I dined here on Thursday and have to say for a pub inside a tube station, the food was excellent and the service was of restaurant standard. As I approached the bar, I was welcomed by I can only assume, the Manager who greeted me with a smile and asked what he could get for me. I had some friends and we had asked if they were still serving food and he replied Yes until 9 O'clock. He said to take a seat and he would come over and help us choose from the menus as we were unsure of what to have. He recommended the southern fried burger which i have to say was the best I've tasted for a very long time. My friend had the lasagne, again recommended by him and my other friend had the chicken chorizo and as I said it was absolutely delicious. Food was hot and well presented. Me and my friends were here in London working and this was our last evening before we travelled back to Somerset. The service forwarded to us was the best we had experienced in our time in London on this occasion. We would definitely recommend the food there at the Trout and say that the staff were more than happy to help us in all areas including telling us the best tube service to get to King's Cross. Will definitely be returning on my next visit to London. Thank you the guys at the Trout!

The Old Trout is not full of youth or over flowing with young love, but it is good for a quick beer or tipple before heading on for a nice night. The Old Trout is a good meeting point with quick service - a good anchor to a solid night out.
The prices at The Old Trout are pretty typical of Hammersmith - a bit pricey. This attracts the poser types, but they usually clear out by 9pm. The last time we were there the bar staff were a bit off.
Overall The Old Trout didn't do much for me.
