Wow I live in Bristol and thought a trip to a Chelsea restaurant and pub would be a positive experience for a visitor from outside london . How wrong could i be.The food was dreadful especially the Fresh Tuna steak which was so overcooked it was more like fishy
bubble gum .
Service indifferent and wine list less than adequate.
I struggle to understand how this place can get rave reviews for it's food.

The bar however is a perfectly good bar. Perhaps they should forget about selling food because the chef simply cannot cook.

The Phoenix is a quality place. We went for food the other day and the chicken was really good. My boyfriend comes to The Phoenix regularly, so I will be joining him if I can persuade him to buy me dinner.

The Phoenix is a great little gastro in Chelsea with some of the normal trappings of Chelsea but in a more relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive and there's a good selection of beers on tap and the small but very tasty menu with their nightly specials make it worth (at least one) trip.
I guarantee you'll be going back to The Phoenix for more.
